Will these work for Phosguard?

They are very fine mesh to hold in the finest media particles. But water flows through them easily so I don't see a problem with them working with any media. So I'll say "Yes" they will work with Phosguard.

Would this work as a filter guard for an internal filter in a freshwater aquarium?

Are the zippers made of metal or plastic?

This is drawstring bags. It doesn't contain any metal. is completely safe for both fresh and saltwater aquariums.

I have a cascade 1500 filter from penn and plax can I put 3 purigen bags in 3 of my trays amd what size bad should I use for a 55 gallon tank?

A basic purigen bag will treat up to 100 gallons for 6 months or so with proper regeneration. I use a 250ml bottle of purigen in one of the alegi media bags and have it in a wet/dry for a 90g tank. You won't need 3 for a 55. One will do fine.

Nice and simple bags work great 😃👍

Nice little bags. I use them on my nuvo fusion 15 saltwater aquarium. I got rid of the filter sock and upgraded my metia basket. Got some of these little bags fit in quite nicely. Definitely recommend them
