Good looks and construction
Very low profile 10” vent. The one my contractor got was a huge dome. You can barely see this from the road. Good construction as well.

Just what we needed
We had new shingles put on our trailer roof and needed to replace all the old vents. Worked Beautifully !

Perfect for 10” round duct
Was delivered super fast, sturdy and love that it has a back draft damper. Not to mention the bottom has no collar which is perfect for new construction.

Never use this for 10" duct
Upon receiving the vent cap, something immediately seemed off. The cap is similar to a 6" roof vent cap. How can it accommodate a 10" duct? It can't. It can not even accommodate an 8" air duct. If you install it over even an 8" air duct, you will suffer severe air flow restriction: your fan motor needs to work harder; the noise level from the system will increase greatly; and you'll have air flow into spaces not designed for.Flip the vent cap upside down, you can see from my picture that the 10" opening is immediately reduced to 6X10, which gives you about 60 sq in of area for air flow, which is equivalent to 8" air duct. From my second picture, you'll see that the air flow through the flapper, which only gives about 3.5"X10" in air flow area at its narrowest point. A 6" air duct has 28 sq in, 8" has 50 sq in, and 10" has 79 sq in. 35 sq in is not even half of what a 10" air duct requires!I had sent back the vent cap immediately and went for something much more expensive but potentially can allow sufficient air flow.I have to say this. Someone who designed this cap and described it as 10" cap is not honest and had bad intent. Hopefully Amazon will allow this comment.

There is no conncetion for 10" pipe
They say its fits a 10" pipe, but there is no connection for a 10" pipe nor any suggested adapter. The bottom is round, so they want you to put a round peg into a square hole. With no instructions how to fit a round tub or adapter. The very least they could do is offer a connection for a round pipe.

This does NOT have a connection for 10" round duct. Very dissapointing.
