I could write down here exactly what everyone else is saying, but I won’t. If you are unsure of which bible to buy, look no further. I wanted to buy a gift for my Daughter and Son-in-Law for moving into their first home together. I contacted the Pastor of their church for help and I was put onto this version as deemed to be excellent quality for the price you were paying. One little bonus - there is a section at the back that offers suggested text for those that wish guidance on daily readings. Perfect - Recommended

Great bible, font size is an easy read. Detailed maps and concordance. I would say it's a little on the heavy side, so not exactly portable. Great for home reading and plenty space to add your own notes. The outer cover does feel prestige and oozes quality. I don't like the imitation leather other bibles have. If I'm going to keep a bible for years, I want the outer to be a good as the inner. A must buy.

The Bible came in a box that was damaged and smashed at the corners. Furthermore it did not have the authentic cover and seal as advertised. I was disappointed at this as it looks like a second hand product.

After exploring different bible translations and block formatting for the last 6 months, I finally decided the NKJV is going to be the bible I read from on a daily basis. I also wanted it to be a single column text block and I wanted cross references in the margins instead of in the footer. It is much easier for me to find the cross references listed in the margins. After a lot of research, I decided to get myself a real leather bible that will stand up to everyday wear and tear. Finding this at 40% off was a deal for me. The bible came in a very nice box, wrapped in paper. I'm keeping the box for to protect it ehen I am not using it. The cover feels great, there was vary minimal guilding that kept the pages sticking together (which I actually love doing with a brand new bible, so I was a little disappointed about that 🙃). The guilding is gold over red. When closed it is gold, and when you open it, it turns red. The text is very clear. The print is nice and large. The concordance is comprehensive. The maps are beautiful. It even has a 1 year reading plan at the end of the bible. I do like when the words of Christ are in a different color, but Thomas Nelson did not do that with this specific edition, and it was a sacrifice I was willing to make with choosing this bible. I am very happy with the quality and look forward to using this as my everyday reading bible.

Absolutely stunning. Not one flaw in this bible from condition to the amazing references set up within this bible. Very durable, I cannot wait to hand this down to my son one day.

I have read and watched many reviews on this NKJV SCR Bible, and it really looks wonderful. And true enough, when I received my copy, the entire Bible is very beautiful and well built, I believe it can last a lifetime. The bible paper used in this bible is not too thin and very opaque, which make the reading very comfortable and easy on the eyes. The 10.5 Comfort Print font is just out of this world! Amazon is a great place to order anything that we need. The delivery is fast. My order came 4 days ahead of the estimated time. Really a pleasant and good experience to shop on Amazon.

I've had this NKJV SCR Bible in Premium Brown Goatskin Leather for near on a month, and I cannot express the least bit of disappointment with it. The goatskin leather is beautifully thick, especially when put next to an NASB Schuyler Stridon Bible I bought and had to return. That one had a very supple, even floppy, goatskin leather binding. The thicker, 36gsm paper makes it a joy to hold and flip through pages. The paper is also more opaque. And the somewhat creamy white makes it more pleasant to look at for extended periods, when compared to the stark white of the Stridon. The 10.5pt font is just right for my 35yo eyes, and the single column paragraph layout is the perfect compromise between a full-on reader's bible like the Bibliotheca ALV Bible set I have at home (which has no verse or chapter enumerations), and a verse-by-verse study bible (which makes reading a little disjointed from verse to verse). The double column look always makes me feel like I'm reading more of a textbook, than the Holy Word of God, which is made up of multiple genres of literature, not just referential information. Every book begins on a brand new page, and doesn't just add some white space between the previous and current books! I didn't realize I would miss that feature. And the additional aides (references, footnotes, concordance, maps) are more than good enough to do some quick study. Also, those ribbons have a great feel to them, and are plenty long. Finally, this is a size that I can bear to use at home, for study or devotions, or to read along while in church. If there's any changes I would make (but these don't hamper my enjoyment of this thoughtful presentation of the Word of the Lord), they would be these: 1. Separate the references and footnotes, with the references at the top, and the footnotes at the bottom 2. Make the verse numbers a bit more distinct, by maybe underlining or italicizing or coloring them. Or even making the size a tad bigger and a bit more separate from the actual text. (But this is a weakness across most SCR paragraph-style Bibles). 3. Include short book summaries as well! Other than that, as I'd initially said, there's next to nothing that I would change about this elegant and carefully-planned presentation of the God-Breathed Scriptures! I would recommend that anyone who enjoys reading the Word of God through the translational presentation of the NKJV strongly consider this Bible!!
