101 Knitting Projects One-Skein Wonders for Babies is a Storey Publishing book. A knitter's book. From soft, cozy hats to sure-to-become heirloom blankets, knitters of every level will find something adorable to make in this collection of original patterns. Author: Judith Durant. 288 pages. Published Year: 2015. ISBN 978-1-61212-480-3. Imported. Review: Gorgeous knitting projects for babies and toddlers using only one skein of yarn! - I am blown away by the wonderful projects included in this book. I have a grandchild on the way and another one who is still a toddler and I was looking for a set of projects that I could accomplish fairly quickly while using up some of the extra skeins of yarn I have. "One-Skein Wonders for Babies" is exactly the book I wanted and needed. I wasn't aware of this series of books, but apparently this is the six edition in the series. I will certainly be purchasing the others (I see one is crochet, too!) The projects are by many different designers and range from clothing to blankets to toys and lots of other fun stuff in-between. The chapter titles tell it all: 1. Little Ensembles 2. Little Tops 3. Little Bottoms 4. Little Dresses 5. Little Hats 6. Little Socks and Bootees 7. Little Accessories 8. Little Blankets 9. Little Toys 10. Little Miscellany Each chapter has many different entries, so there is a wide range of projects to chose from. I really like that there are patterns for items for girls and boys and those which are gender neutral. My toddler grandchild is a boy but the baby-on-the-way is not yet known, so I will start with a gender neutral matching pair for the two of them. The projects are well-laid out with comprehensive directions. I am a much stronger crocheter than knitter but I think I can tackle any one of these projects and get them done well. Each pattern includes the size(s) the pattern can make, the type actually used and amount of yarn needed, needles used, gauge, and extra supplies you will need. This makes it simple to follow along, or if you prefer, to swap out for the yarn that you have on-hand. The photographs in the book are outstanding and make each project a joy to behold. The back of the book has general directions for knitting information and additionally, lists the designers for the various items. This is great if you are really like a particular style and want to see if the designer has additional patterns available that might suit your taste. I received a digital ARC copy of this book from the publisher, Storey Publishing, LLC, via Netgalley. I have also purchased a hard-copy to have in my library and to use often. Review: Get Excited about Knitting for the Babies! - Nice book with a good variety of patterns. Like the illustrations and the instructions are easy to follow. Happy to have this book.

SWEET KNITS!
Great book, great patterns. Sweet little baby knits - especially the Entrechat Shrug! Lots of explanations, patterns, directions, charts and diagrams. But no page numbers in the e-book, so it's difficult to navigate through the book except by going to the contents page and clicking on the link.

VERY PRACTICAL AND USEFUL BOOK
The patterns are modern and written very clearly even for a less than proficient knitter like myself. I like how they list suggested yarns to use for each pattern, but also give the weight number (1-2-3-4-5, etc.). Some of the patterns are so cute I can't wait to try them, even though my granddaughter has way too many already! My only issue with it is that it would be much more convenient as a spiral bound edition, so I'll have that done soon.

A Great Book for Your Knittting Library
Lots of goodies to knit for the little ones in your life. Highly recommend. I would also highly recommend all of the other "One-Skein Wonders" books for anyone's knittting library. There's something to interest everyone in each book. I have used them time and again, not only for the patterns, but for inspiration. There is also a handy glossary of knittting terms and instructions in the back of each book.

I was disappointed but you may not be.
I gave it 3 stars because even though there are a lot of very cute items, most of the patterns require sock yarn (size 0, 1, or 2). There are very few places around where I live that sell sock yarn and I also do not have the patience to knit so small. My preference is using sport or worsted weight yarn. I will definitely keep it though to get ideas and perhaps try out some of the smaller patterns in larger sizes with larger yarn weights.

Great Book of Patterns
As an avid knitter, first time grandmother to be, I love this book. Yes, you have Ravelry and other sources, but this book is so nicely put together plus it is easy to follow. All those scrape balls of yarn you can find a pattern for. This is one book that belongs in every knitter's book shelf.

Great variety
I bought it a year ago to share with a friend on a month long holiday, and gave it to her for her birthday. Great book I just had to have it for myself!Lots of things in different sizes and yarn weights. Yes stretching the " one skein" a bit long, but who cares if you get a pattern you like, you can buy some more yarn!!!

Eindeutige Kauf-Empfehlung!!!

Another Great Baby Knitting Book for your Library.
This is a great knitting book of special projects. Lots of different patterns you will enjoy making for a special little one. If you knit for bazaars this is a great book, lots of lovely designs to keep you busy. Great companion for One-Skein Wonders for Babies the crochet addition. Both of my books arrived together, and early.
