This is initially painful! However my husband and I, are in a lot of pain every day. Chronic pain and specific pain with exacerbations! Medication and I mean heavy duty meds can only do so much! This is helpful because even though you feel pain initially it then starts making you feel relieved and more relaxed! I did a lot of research on these and so far after finding a very expensive brand, I found this one for more than half the cost! Sleep also is much better I guess because our muscles are not as tight and as far as easy to use? I don’t know how much easier it could be! I absolutely love the bag it come in! You just take it out with the pillow, lay it on the floor and just lay on it in whatever position you want to start in! I usually spray the back of it since that part goes on the floor! I recommend this product for any one who has neck and back pain!

This mat works amazing and is priced perfectly! It’s my first mat and I am very pleased. Relaxes my stress and tension which in turn causes me to sleep like a baby. I’m obsessed.

I have a high pain tolerance and this mat wasn't hard to get used to, but could definitely be too much for others. I have chronic bank pain and muscle spasms and laying on the mat after a relaxing shower us so soothing. I've fallen asleep on it!

Awesome little acupressure mat, identical to the mat costing a few hundred dollars. Hurts at first, but definitely brings pain relief to my back. Also really liked the shape of the pillow, vs the half circle shape offered with other mats on amazon

I wasn't sure what to expect, so I wanted to give this a chance before reviewing. I recieved this yesterday from Amazon. I have used it two days now. The first day I was able to stay on it with a light shirt for 30 minutes. It was uncomfortable at first, but after maybe 5 - 10 minutes it was tolerable. I didn't have a light shirt on my neck and found the pillow very uncomfortable the first day. Today is day 2. I used it again with a light shirt and put a light scarf around my neck today. It was so easy today and actually felt pretty amazing. I'm surprised really. I feel more energetic in just one day, I hope it helps with sleep and pain today. I'm going to use it once again before bedtime to get more benefits from it. I have been using it on my back, but tonight I. will be using it on my bottom for my sciatic pain. So far, I really like this strange new way to feel great.

I've no idea if this is going to make a difference at all... but I'm currently on the mat for the first time and omg this feels so good already! Not sure if it's just a pain relocation but yeah, it's totally working. I was scared at first. The mat when you see it and then pick it up with the spikes rubbing up on your fingers is very intimidating. So first thing I did was lay on it clothed and very slowly started to move the clothes out of the way. That does make a difference. So yeah, another thing I thought of at first was that the pictures do not do it justice at all! It really does look like a torture device.... but it's really very helpful. Easy to use and definitely gives me pain relief!

Got this for Christmas, and it’s been awesome to have! When used correctly, this really does give my muscles relief and helps relax all of the tension in my back, shoulders and neck. It does take time and “practice” to get used to the acupressure spikes. But now, I don’t even cringe when I first lay down in the mat. And the pillow is my favorite piece! Perfectly fits the curve of my neck when laying down! And the carrying bag is wonderful to storing the set together. I love this purchase!

I was never actually able to use this mat because it ended up smelling like urine but i think it probably would have been fine had i not left it in the cloth bag for a few years. I love the cheaper versions of this bag so thought i'd upgrade but i ended up preferring the light weight of the cheap ones despite how nice these fancier version ones are. I don't recall an odor when i got it. I haven't found any evidence other people have had this issue so I wouldn't assume it's an issue with the manufacturing. I really think it was solely because the mat didn't breathe for at least 3 years and my home was somewhat humid. So i'd still recommend the mat, it's lovely, just don't leave it untouched in the bag for 3 years and just to be on the safe side i'd remove the cover and set in a sunny spot for a bit just to make sure the coconut fibers fully cured.
