TP-Link 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub, Slim and Compact USB Splitter

Small but powerful. There are many brands out there so I have chosen a very recognized brand. This device is small, portable and works perfectly. I use it on my laptop and even when I have attached my 2.4GHz trackball and keyboard, I do not experience any issues with the connection! Has one small LED to indicate if the port is active. I used on a laptop with Win 10 Pro and is really plug and play, no drivers need to be installed. I aso attached my printer and an external HDD: excellent performance and this hub was transparent to my computer! Keep in mind the cable is not very long, I have added a penny for reference. Anyways, gets the job done. Please give a chance to this little great product. Great little hub. An extra inch or two on the connecting cable would be nice, but then it wouldn't be as compact. I own a very slim Lenovo Yoga laptop and needed extra USB ports. This is perfect 👌. Travels well, connects quickly. Definitely recommend!!

Performs as advertised. Quality seems good

Hub was up and running in 90 seconds after a very quick install. The cable is way too short though, it is only 3-4 inches long. This will be an issue if your USB port isn't flat on your desk. With My 2 in 1 computer, the USB port sits about 2.5 inches above my desktop, so the hub is up in the air and not sitting flat. Will need a short adapter for it to be useable in my situation.

This is great value for the money and the portability cannot be beaten. However, ran into some issues when using things like portable hard drives, etc. Slow/sluggish transfer speeds for data, a lot of hiccups. Would need to look into a powered hub for some of my devices. But this is great for things like a mouse, keyboard, etc.

This is a nice hub to have. Includes a short cable with a USB-A 3.0 connector. If you find it too short, consider getting an extension cable. They start at one feet. It is probably primarily to be used by laptop users as there isn't enough USB ports on laptops. This type of hub, since it shares the flow, should be used for keyboards, mice, keyboard/mice dongles, finger printer reader and the occasional transfer by a USB key. Note that all [up to] 4 ports are sharing the flow through that single USB-A port to the computer. Therefore the more ports in use the less of a throughput for each port. Also make sure the port on the computer used is USB 3.0 and not USB 2.0. Items such as a length transfer of data, web cam, and a network adapter should not be used - and especially not together at the same time. If you have speed, disconnection or lagging issues, consider getting a hub that had a power adapter.
