Engaging
My son aged 9 is a reluctant reader, can't get him to put this down. Excellent stuff.

Nostaglic rpg with extra luck thrown in
A blast from the past returned as a conversion from the Fighting Fantasy solo books to an adventure for D20, either as a solo quest or as a party for around 3 to 4 adventurers _ level 7 to 8 ( pregens included!)Basic layout, no colour apart from the cover, and you can ignore any references to Myriador downloads ( 50 pages!?) as that company have gone bust. So what do you get? A solid adventure set in the classic location of the Crystal caverns of the Icefinger Mountains, an extra ability score of luck with rules on how to use it, new monsters and magic items and that warm glow of deja vu from your childhood telling you that you have been here before with a sword in your hand, even if like me you can't quite recall all the details. Apparently quite rare to find, and only 8 FF books were converted to the D20 system. Worthwhile if you play D&D and can find a copy for less than Β£10. I have the Deathtrap Dungeon version too.
