This book sucks. The fonts are extremely difficult to read, the art is messy, and the information is misleading, when not entirely false. I’m a queer person, and I LOVE books, but this one is garbage. Save your money; do not buy. They don’t even have the modern lesbian flag (they feature a transphobic one instead!!) and they refer to bisexuality as being into “both” genders (when there are way more than two genders). This isn’t even a good primer for straight people, it’s so full of misinformation. I’m surprised queer people wrote it- they must be part of an insular and transphobic community of queer folks, which is sad for them, and makes their work a waste of time for readers. I composted my copy.

The font and type size make this entire book basically UNREADABLE - using 12” iPadThe authors tried to be. “Cutesy,” but it FAILS.I would like to get a refund on this - DO NOT BUY!I was really looking forward to the book - can I get it a PLAIN TEXT?????

I was drawn into this book from the drawings on the opening cover and beyond. This book is full of information, from cover to cover. It is written in an interesting and fun way that makes it very difficult to put down. It’s fun size 8x6 also makes it very easy to take it anywhere. The art in this book is also very well done, and compliments the text well. It is definitely a book anyone within the community or not should read, everyone can learn from it.

My little sister recently came out to me and I told her some basic LGBT+ history and she mentioned she wanted to know so much more. This book is really great for easy education of many events and icons along with a guide on ways to come out! Not to mention the amazing art! If you barely know a thing about LGBT+ history, this is the fun history book for you!

I love the content and purpose of the book but the font they chose is hard to read, especially since the font is so small.
