I give this 5 stars for the effect and comfort of use around the eyes. No pinching or slipping. Applying mascara after use is very easy with lashes curled upward. There are two small downsides for me that were not worth docking a star but are worth mentioning: 1) The very lovely, very shiny gunmetal finish makes it a little difficult to see my ghost blonde lashes when curling prior to mascara application, especially being farsighted. 2) If you use your thumb and forefinger to operate these, the scissor-grip holes are a bit small particularly for the thumb. If you use you use your index and middle fingers, you probably won't run into this issue. Excellent lash curler overall!

Whoah. I’m pretty sure that was reaction when I saw how fast and how easily this little eyelash curler worked. WOW!! How in the world!?!?! I can’t believe I’ve been waiting a year or more to buy this. I kept thinking, “How could this really be different than any other eyelash curler?” Well, let me tell ya….I have no clue HOW, but this is magic. It curled my lashes SO FAST and SO EASILY! I told my husband my eyelashes are shaking hands with our friends & relatives in heaven after using this eyelash curler! This thing is amazing!! Just buy it. It really does work. I don’t know why it works so amazingly, but it does. It’s worth the money!!!!

There's a reason that this is one of Japan's top rated eyelash curlers: it works and it works WELL. Shiseido is just known for making quality products. I honestly rarely curl my lashes but this definitely makes my lashes look more lifted and fanned out. The handle is easy to hold and the curvature works really well for my eye shape. Thankfully it doesn't pull my eyelashes out, either, which has definitely happened with other curlers. If you struggle with curling your lashes or haven't found an eyelash curler that feels intuitive to use, definitely spend a little more money on this one and just have a good quality curler.

I’ve tried quite a few eyelash curlers, and this one is hands-down the best. It fits my eye perfectly, curls my lashes beautifully, and gives them a long-lasting lift without pinching or pulling. It makes such a noticeable difference even before I apply mascara. I absolutely love it and would highly recommend it!

Worth the hype... I really thought this was going to disappoint me but it is exactly everything everyone raves about. I did not expect such strong hold and it doesn't rip out any lashes. I am very satisfied with this. Images are after I put some castor oil and mascara on to see if it could hold the curl with product and it absolutely carries. I have never felt this about anything! There is a reason why this is considered the best lash curler on the market.

this eyelash curler is expensive but it is so worth it. i have asian eyelashes which are known to be stubborn so i found this product by many people recommending it, unfortunately this product is not a 5 star for me because it often pulls out my eyelashes and damages them. if your eyelashes are strong or you have a strengthening eyelash serum, i highly recommend.

It worked. The curler is wider than any other so all my eyelashes easily fit inside the zone. Why it curls so much better than anything else I have tried, I am not sure. Maybe the little soft strip is different? Anyway, this curler is the ONLY one that works for me. LOVE IT. TIP: I discovered that water-based mascara causes the curled eyelashes to straighten out again. I switched to a waterproof mascara and between the two, I am thrilled. Problem totally solved.

I've purchased this eyelash curler twice now, and the main reason I keep coming back to it is the shape. It doesn't have as much of a curve as other eyelash curlers I've tried, which makes it easier for me to get almost all of my lashes into the curler. Apparently, my eyes must be a little flatter because this shape just works better for me! I've included a comparison photo so you can see the difference in the curvature. The curler itself feels sturdy and well-made, and I appreciate that it comes with a replacement pad. There are two things I wish were different, though. First, the price. It's pretty spendy for an eyelash curler, especially considering what you get. Second, the handles are made of thin metal with no cushioning or grip. Even though I'm not squeezing particularly hard, my hand hurts by the time I'm finished curling my lashes. I think even making the metal a little thicker would make a difference in how comfortable it is to hold and the grip. Despite those complaints, I keep coming back to this one because the shape works so much better for my eyes. If you've struggled with curlers that are too curved to catch all your lashes, this one might be worth trying. Just know that you're paying more for it, and the handles could definitely be more comfortable! In my comparison picture, the Shiseido eyelash curler is on the left.
