Good battery for the BTECH Murs and compatible radios!
Nothing much to say, it's a nice addition to your radio that will increase it's battery life, make it more "tacticool," and have a better grip. My first one was defective, since the voltage wasn't the same as advertised, but I got it replaced and the new one is fine. TIP: since the battery's tolerance isn't the same as the radio, it is very hard to push in. If the battery release "buttons" on the side of the radio aren't stiff and move around and make noise then you haven't inserted the battery fully. You have to push really hard on the battery until the buttons become stiff. Sometimes there is a click, other times not.

BTECH is a top notch company
Was a tight fit but it will probably bot ever be removed until it fails. USB and cradle connection are handy.

Buyer be wareโ- this battery bricked my radio.
I purchased this extended battery for my UV-82 HP. When i installed the battery, i turned on the radio to see how much charge the battery had. The radio turned on as usual but soon the display started to fade and the battery level indicated the battery was essentially dead. I turned off my radio and attached the usb-c to charge the battery. After about 5 hours I turned on the radio to test out the new battery but my radio wouldnโt turn on. I noticed a familiar smell coming from my radio which told me something internal burned. I tried several other batteries with the same results-dead radio. The battery bricked my radio!!

Fits (mostly), adds life
Seems to be a good battery. Haven't really been able to put it to the test yet.It didn't want to fit just right when I first received it. Probably just tolerance stack. But one side of the latches didn't want to engage properly. A minimum of time with a fine emery board, and it fit acceptably. The BTech GMRS V2 is such a handy radio with the original battery, the only thing that I can slightly ding this with is it really, sorta, kinda... just make the radio a little clunky. If it weren't a fact that the radio with the original sized battery is so handy, I wouldn't have noticed. But, the original is. So, the extra battery is sitting next to it on the shelf, ready for charging and use if/when the need arises. But I'm thinking of seeing if I can just get a second battery of the original size. Or maybe not.

Double your battery capacity
So, it went down like this....I lost my charging cradle. Ok maybe it is in a box somewhere but I couldn't find it. Searching for a replacement I stumbled across this battery upgrade with USB-C charging port. It doubles the capacity of the original and adds some much needed real estate to the small UV82-HP. There were no fitment issues as others have reported and if I ever find my charging cradle I can still use it.

Difficult fit
Ordered two of these higher capacity batteries for two UV-82 radios. Both had the same problem. The extended pack does not slide up enough for the side locks to engage. To remedy, carefully file off the two protrusions on the bottom of the radio. This allows the extended battery to lock in. Second problem is that the + and - contacts on the radio have to be slightly bent up for better contact to the battery. The extended pack does not extend as deep into the radio back. Considering these are made by the same manufacturer is really poor construction and quality control.

Great extended life battery, this BTECH BL-5L 3800mAh Li-ion Battery Pack
I bought this extended-life battery pack for my Baofeng BF-F8 Dual-Band, VHF/UHF, Handheld Transceiver. At 3800 mAh it has over 2000 mAh more staying power than the original equipment battery. That means it will last over twice as long as the original, before needing to recharge it. That makes it a superconvenient accessory! PLUS, it has four little protrusions on the bottom that will even allow the BF-F8 radio to stand up by itself, with the rubberduck antenna! I'm really pleased with this battery pack! I bought a second one to have in backup supply! You just can't pay a better price than twenty-bucks for an extended-life battery. I highly recommend this battery pack!
