FastCapAdhesive Cover Caps PVC White 9/16 (1 Sheet 52 Caps)

Q: What is the difference in the "original new" (contradictory???) and the fastcap? one seems to just be more expensive.

The FastCap work with their counter bore pilot drill, and are the 9/16 diameter. They are an exact fit for the counter bore their drill system leaves for a proprietary screw they supply with a 9/16 head, and thread designed to work with melamine of veneer core melamine or wood veneer panels.

Q: can these be easily removed without damage?

I have never fully removed any, but I just went to check and I was able to slide my fingernail under one, so I think if you were careful, you could remove them pretty easily.

Q: Will these work to cover 5/8" screw heads to shockproof them?

Plastic/vinyl is a good electrical insulator; and theoretically, it should work (if you countersink the screw ). However, I don't think this product is intended to serve this purpose.

Q: Was considering using these to cover small screw holes on a fiberglass boat (on the deck, not hull). Good enough seal for occasional weather exposure?

I doubt it. They're essentially thick stickers. If you think an ordinary sticker type adhesive would work in weather, then perhaps. But I don't think they would hold up well in weather personally
