Know when its not the devices problem...typical solutions included to help you enjoy this lock.
I bought this as an update to a less featured lock I previously installed that finally failed to work, not by same manufacturer.This lock does it all and well but you better know how to troubleshoot and admit that its your door and not this sophisticated equipment.After I seemingly installed the lock properly and went to set it up with an administrator profile and was met with some serious malfunction. I was able to get the admin acct up and connected to the app and was just dumfounded as to why this thing was operating unusually. On appearance everything was fine but I was at a loss and contacted customer service and they came in to help. We concluded together that there must be a problem with the deadbolt latch not working properly due to the way it was sitting in my door (we determined this through a series of pictures and videos I took and shared with them)so I did some wood filling and positioning for the latch assembly to fit as perfect as possible because I did NOT want to return this thing.After I re-installed the device it worked better but was still acting weird. So, customer service again, they came through with another video showing actual operation compared to what was going on with mine. A HINT: to know for sure that your device is not a lemon...assemble the device on a table not a door, just put it together without the screws, just put the spindle in the deadbolt slot and and let it sit there and then try using passcode or fingerprint (or just set it up this way) to operate and you will see that it works properly and you can determine that your door is the actual problem.I'll save you the trouble by indicating possible issues.1. Make sure the deadbolt latch assembly is not crammed in the door so it is positioned in the best way for this device work.2. The box strike or a.k.a the hole where the deadbolt goes into when engaging in the lock position This was ultimately my issue causing the malfunction because the deadbolt was not extending fully therefore causing the sensors in the device to detect an improper installation.After digging out a proper hole for the deadbolt to slide into, my device now works as intended as is seriously awesome.I hope this helps and you enjoy this lock like I am now

Product drains battery very quickly
Very disappointing with this product. It drains the battery I have to replace it every day the key doesn’t work. And when it’s locked it keeps opening and closing on its own without me touching it. Do not recommend this

Support is REALLY LACKING!
We purchased the ZKTeco Smart Door Lock, Keyless Entry Door Lock Deadbolt with keypad, Fingerprint Door Lock, in June. We installed it, programmed it, but upon unlocking with your code or fingerprint, it relocks before you can get the door closed. We have an auto closing door, so if you don't hold it open and turn the knob before it closes, it slams on the locking bolt mechanism. We have called, emailed, and signed up for the ZKTeco website support to get the programming info to fix it, but no luck. One time we got an email back asking for the model number, but since we responded, they never have responded. We've again tried to email, use the online portal and call with no luck. I wish it worked well, but without support, it really SUCKS.

Use Duracell Coppertop Batteries
I have two of these that mostly work fairly well. I did go thru a couple of replacements. The most notable remaining problem is changing the batteries and having it keep saying low battery. It seems that if you use alkaline batteries it will not work well or sometimes at all. Make sure you are liberal in setting up fingerprints, get good coverage of a finger. Set up the same finger a number of times and angles as though different people.

App does not connect to lock, also locks turns by itself. I have a replacement will see how this goes. Also have not been able to contact a person for tech support.Update: Aug '20 still have not heard from tech support. Replacement lock worked for awhile now having issues as far as locking automatically. And app does not always connect. For the price we paid i'm thinking other might work better.Update: Sept 21' lock is totally dead. We have changed numerous batteries. Cannot reach a reliable tech or support. I was told to buy one of their other products by a sales rep. It's now an oversized deadbolt.

Doesn’t Always Work and Support is not in English
Not easy to install. The batteries run out very quickly so I would use rechargeable batteries. Mine were out within a week. The fingerprint and card features dont work all the time and if you need assistance don’t contact the company. It is oversees and they don’t speak English. I tried to email and the response is not in English so you are kinda on your own! It wasn’t super expensive but not quite worth the price since it isn’t very reliable.

Good Paperweight. Crappy Lock.
It doesn't work. Bought it back in June. Finally got around to taking it out of the box today and installing it, it won't power on. It won't activate, reset button beeps but won't do anything, mechanically it world, but none of the gizmos do anything.Pretty pissed off actually. The product had good reviews. Tried several dozen batteries, took it off the door and reassembled it to make sure I didn't mess up anything inside.Best part... in 2 weeks out of returns now. Awesome. Really awesome. Their customer service blows and their app is poorly translated.But a different brand

Don’t buy…awful
Terrible. Now I get that I bought one that was used, but it was Amazon certified used/like new, so I expected it to be fine. It came with no instructions, then when I just used the video instructions from the Amazon app, it didn’t have any of the reference papers. But, I figured it out via Youtube and got it put together. After that, I tried to program it and the app asked for the admin code of the former owner. This was AFTER resetting the thing. So the entire process was annoying to say the least, still didn’t get the admin code thing resolved and on top of that, the lock started lock/unlocking nonstop on its own. Dumb lock…pun intended.
