K&N 81-0300 Replacement Fuel Filter

I was due for a new fuel filter in my 1969 Corvette, and this product fits the bill. Installation was quick, and the OD sizing was accurate. The carb gets plenty of fuel, and I appreciate the clear glass to see the filter status, vs the cheaper plastic housings.

I've used this model fuel filter previously, but it had the single, well pronounced, barb on each pipe exiting the end caps. I'm disappointed that they changed it but didn't change the photo. I prefer the previous barb type. The one I just bought has a different setup and not a single barb. I haven't installed it yet so I don't know how well it will work with this shallow "barb" revision. I purposely bought this one because I like the barb shown in the photo, but it's now misrepresenting the item. See my pictures of what I received.I use this filter on an old British car that has 5/16" rubber fuel lines. Make sure you have clamps as it doesn't come with them. I like seeing the unfiltered fuel thru the glass housing. I'm replacing my old one because it's filtered out some rust bits. Hopefully we get a good quality part as I'm paying more for the K & N name. I hope Amazon corrects the photo to one that looks like my photos. I'm disappointed that it doesn't look like the one in the picture but it's should work well for my needs.

Used these in an outboard motor fuel line to prevent contamination of the carburetor. Easy install. Mind the fuel flow direction. Its one directional. It fits either 5/16 or 3/8 in. I.D. hose. Element is replaceable when clogged. Anyone who has rebuilt marine carburetors will appreciate the filtering of these items. Keeps teardowns to a minimum.Takes a little to prime them on the first use. I laid it lower than the tank and she filled right up. No air locks.Motor runs great. No fuel starvation. Arrived early and works well correct description

With a 70 gal fuel tank in the back of truck, a small pump and filter was needed for xfer. After trying several filter types, this none by far fit the bill. Because of its design, there is much more filter surface for its size. Because the element sits in a strong glass case, it is easy to inspect. So far it has out performed every other type of filter and is still flowing plenty of fuel. Best part is that it is very simple to take apart and clean. Worth every penny!!

Love this filter. Replaced the one from my 1971 VW super Beetle and the fact that it can be taken apart and cleaned plus I can purchase replacement inner filter and not the outer shell. Will purchase again for my motorcycle and for my 1947 Pontiac.
