I Am Me I Am Free: The Robots' Guide to Freedom

This book covers Icke's personal philosophy more and the supposed evidence of the nefarious doings of some of the powerful and famous less.The philosophy seems to be a throwback to the sixties and seventies; and Icke comes up with thoughts that seems to smack of a "child of the Seventies". (Break out your bong and John Lennon albums and this will all start to make sense, man!) He seems to be one of these romantic utopian dreamers who believes in absolute freedom and equality. I don't necessarily believe that because I believe that one can be more or less free; it is not an either/or question to me. And I don't believe in absolute equality either. So I did not resonate with what he was saying, but it is an interesting discussion about these concepts.I particularly balked at his ideas about marraige and cursing. He seems to want the divorce laws loosened until you can finally get a drive-through divorce. "Oh, I'm not feeling love anymore and I have weak and selfish character. I have to get out now; forget the kids, and move on" is my parody of what the consequences of his thoughts would lead to. It seems no one has sense of duty or the ability to tough things out these days, so I suppose many would agree with him. But I've never been married, so I can't speak from experience.In regard to cussing, cuss words to Icke are just sounds and we should not be offended by these sounds. We choose to be offended. While I can say that people are probably too easily offended by other things, I don't think the world needs any more nasty-mouths. I work at a place where people cuss all the time; they can't seem to express themselves in any other way. Actually, I wish I had never started cussing myself, because it seems once you start, you can never stop. It's like the "like" and "you know" words that like you know, you can never, like you know, quit saying, you know? I recommend a return to Victorian manners instead, or at least a slight return.The problem with giving people absolute freedom is that it's like giving people a license to kill, cheat, steal, and pollute. I definitely believe that we are all depraved worms and our righteousness is nothing more than filthy rags. People abuse the freedoms they have and you can only have freedom if you are responsible enough to handle it.In regard to absolute equality, people who believe in such a thing deny reality when there is evidence to support that we are not all equal in ability, particularly in regard to race and gender. That sort of radical and often tyrannical egalitarianism has already been tried in communist states, and it didn't work, to put it mildly.I found a couple of his concepts interesting though. He said that the evil doers that we denounce are actually a mirror of ourselves and if we loved them enough we could redeem them from their evil doing, fighting hatred with love. If we fight fire with fire, all we get is more fire, so we should not choose revenge as automatically as we do, when confronting evil. Since we all one, Icke states, the evil they do is a part of ourselves. --Trippy.Regarding fear, Icke states that we should not fear things and give them energy because whatever we imagine will eventually come to us, if we think on it with enough persistence. He gives an example of how he feared dogs, and how mean dogs would come into his life while his friends who didn't fear dogs didn't have his problem. But I can also think of times when bad things happened, and I didn't think them into existence.He also stated that our world is a virtual reality illusion in which we come back over and over as different players of different races, playing villians or heroes. --Wow, man. I'll have to ponder that!He says that he had a spiritual transformation from an extra-marital affair and therefore he advocates at least a halfway-open marraige so that we can have similar transformations by producing the kundalini energy that we may get from a sexual encounter. And besides, why hold ourselves as separate, when we are all one? His wife seems cool with that. --That's just great, man! That is one of the cleverest excuses for infidelity that I have ever heard! I'll have to remember that one. --Maybe his wife will pick some of that energy herself or maybe something less desirable! If you could somehow get as much kundalini energy in this manner, instead of boring old meditation, and then be able to keep your wife from picking up this energy from some nasty guy, you would have a good plan.Anyway, it was intellectually stimulating trip, man. Even though sometimes I think it's all foolery.

This is one of the most life changing books I've ever encountered. It took me on a journey through multiple dimensions of life. It begins by detailing how most of us have been indoctrinated since childhood and have lost ourselves in the process. Icke then goes on to tell us about a global conspiracy that is deliberately doing what they can to strip us of our ability to create our own lives as our unique selves. This is followed by some very grizzly, hard-to-believe negative data about what has been going on all over the world.Then comes the good news. David goes into detail about how we create our own lives and our own experiences. This is followed by a very high level view of the world, all of existence, and the forces that are shaping the world toward a wonderful outcome. David invites us all to choose our own path and contribute to the high dimensional influences that are dramatically increasing the love in the world.This book inspired me to immediately start operating in a new, much more relaxed, loving mode. I'm finally using information I've known for years. There is no need to wait. We can fully live our unique lives immediately. Everybody wins.

If you are seriously ready to change your life, you must change your mind. After that, it all falls into place. Realizing what the world really is and accepting who you really are is key to starting this most necessary and beautiful transition into non-physical enlightenment. This book gives you ample information about the physical and non-physical realms to set your mind free which can only lead to complete freedom from all the ties that bind us to the rest of the sheep herd. It has inspired me to continue improving and de-materializing so that I can be the authentic "me" for all the world to enjoy. Detach from the herd, wake up from the movie/book dreams we escape in, and commit to stop being brainwashed by media, universities, and major institutions. Less control of the herd = a better world for tomorrow starting today!

This was really a brain shattering book. Though I read Jesse Ventura's book on American conspiracy, this book went a big step further. I'm not sure that I buy into everything that David Icke is presenting here, but it definitely has me thinking. I must admit that the information in "I am me I am free" was shocking and not a warm fuzzy read. This is one of Icke's earlier books; I'm now reading his latest book " Human race get off your knees " and find it an expanded version of "I am free..." and seems more down to earth and solid. I highly recommend both of these books for those who are looking to find out why all of the crazy stuff seems to be happening economically and politically. The reasons are very startling, but the more one thinks about it the more sense it makes.

You have to read this in bits and pieces because of the information that's revealed. Some of it you probably don't want to know. The people we're supposed to look up to as leaders are the last people we should look up to. The institutions that control the world should be shut down.

A very thought provoking reading experience. Certainly explains why we are in the situation currently and helps me concentrate on being in the moment..

IMO this is Ickes most 'basic' book at a whole whopping 200 pages. Still seems to be a a great jumping off point for those not too familiar with Icke.Also as a note- this is the first Icke book I've read+owned, but I've watched tons of his YTube vids.

On time

I book this book for my father as a Christmas present, as an introduction to the way I view life. I scanned through a few pages having a quick read (I just couldn't resist) and it's such a breath of fresh air. Icke explains the general oppression of the world briefly and does so with such ease. The chapters have witty names and he engages himself with the reader so well, the book sheds a light on the whole perspective of this outdated and manipulative system. I will happily be handing this over at Christmas with a massive grin on my face, it's time for people to open their eyes and stop defending such a painful, ignorant way of life.

the man is a genius and so prophetic who's laughing at you now David I am certainly not! Thank you for raising my awareness to our inverted reality - it is those ignoramuses should be wearing the tin folk hats!!!1

always buy david icke but its personal choice whether you choose him or mainstream media?

I like this book. That doesn't mean to say that I agree with everything that David Icke says (or indeed believe everything written in this book) but there is a lot of good stuff in it, and it is easy to read. Whatever you believe (or not) before you read this book... there is a good chance that you will have had to question some long-held beliefs by the time you finish. If you want to know any more, I would suggest that you follow it up with "... and the truth shall set you free". You may also like to read "Between Death and Life: Conversations with a Spirit" by Dolores Cannon. Both highly recommended.

Load's of good stuff...but load's of nutty stuff too,hey what else would you expect from a David Icke book!?
