Ruggedized Tablet - 7" Sunlight Readable, Quad Core 1.5GHz, Internal Memory: 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM, Android 7.0, 2G/3G/4G

I bought this for field use because it had the daylight screen, GPS and the IP67 rating. During use it was not submerged but was wet - conditions less harsh than the IP67 rating. The unit stopped working after two field days. I returned it to the manufacturer who said there was water damage and the warranty was void. Xenarc offered to replace it for more than I paid for it.This is possibly fraudulent behavior by Xenarc - advertising that a unit is IP67 compliant and when it isn't, claim the warranty is void.Clearly this unit does not meet the IP67 standard. It may not even be resistant to ambient moisture.

About a year ago I repurposed my old Nexus 7 tablet as a poor-man's infotainment center on my Victory Cross Country motorcycle. It looked great in the garage, but was about impossible to read in the sun, so I started looking for a sunlight-readable tablet. I learned that, one, there are not many out there, and two, they are like a couple thousand bucks. Then I came across this gem.I've had this about a month now and I couldn't be happier. It does exactly what is advertised: it is absolutely readable in direct sunlight, even when wearing sunglasses. These photographs were taken in actual direct sunlight; the sun was behind me and directly beating down on the screen. It is still completely readable.I had a couple of questions prior to my purchase and some after and all were answered promptly and to my satisfaction by Xenarc; I would say their customer service is top notch.About the only caveats I could come up with (and they are in no way deal breakers):- They say that it's 4G compatible with a SIM card, and that's true, but the only carrier I found that it works with is T-Mobile. They are not my regular cell carrier, but that turned out to not be a big deal. You can get a 6G per month data plan from them for 25 bucks, no contract, so I just pay for it in the summer when I need it. You don't absolutely have to have a data plan; you can tether your phone as a wifi hotspot, but I found that to be clunky and inconsistent.- The volume with my bluetooth stereo driver is pretty low, so I need to use a volume booster app, which is less than ideal. I just need to research this more.- You can see from the photographs that there is some reflection / glare from the glossy screen. I may try a matte screen protector, but honestly it's so easy to read that it just doesn't bother me that much.All in all I would say this is an outstanding product; it does what it is supposed to do and does it superbly.
