### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solved my intermittent OE drain error on an LG WM3470HVA

My LG WM3470HVA front-load washer started intermittently throwing an OE drain error. It wasn’t constant, which made it difficult to diagnose. I first cleaned the drain filter, checked the drain hose for obstructions, verified the water supply, and ran multiple Speed Wash and Rinse & Spin cycles. The washer would sometimes complete a cycle normally and other times stop during the drain/spin phase with an OE error. One thing I noticed was that the drain pump had developed a subtle clicking/grinding sound that wasn’t normal. After removing the original pump, I compared it to the new one. The old pump spun freely by hand, while the new pump had a distinct magnetic “cogging” feel as the impeller rotated. I can’t say that’s a definitive diagnostic test, but the difference between the two was obvious and gave me confidence the original pump had worn internally. Installation took me about 40 minutes. Before installing the new pump, I applied a very light coat of silicone grease to the large O-ring so it would slide into place without twisting or pinching. Since replacing the pump, I’ve run three full loads plus multiple test cycles with zero OE errors.
