Prolimatech Genesis CPU Cooler

This thing is huge
wow, this is the biggest heatsink i've ever seen really. it keeps my AMD FX 4170 4.2ghz (oc'd to 4.5ghz) idle at around 17c and tops out at 48c under full load even after a half day on prime95 benchmarker. fairly easy to install, took some figuring out as the manual isnt so great and it come with alot of parts for different socket types so you really have to figure out which parts belong to with setup. i think i could get better temps if i added a 3rd fan but it's doing a bang up job so far so i dont feel like i need to upgrade that. this things is huge, it does well at coolling cause there's just so much surface area to cool. it's tall enough to clear my memory sticks that comes with their own heatsinks and the way it goes over it also know it's helping to move air to cool the ram and alot of other components under/next to it. i really dont have any complaints, i have a bench test setup and it looks freaking cool.!!

Keeps your system cool and quiet
Excellent. Keeps your CPU cool with very little noise. Seriously, you could probably use this without a fan. With a fan set to low speed it does more than enough to keep things cool. Read the reviews on Silentpcreview - it's essentially the best cooler you can buy, and because of its unique design it actually fits in a lot of cases where bigger coolers will not.

Powerful cool and quiet with right fans. Great with Devil's Canyon CPU
This thing is a Beast, although lighter than its bulk would imply. Watch your clearances, go to the Prolimatech site to check your mobo compatibility first. Worked well for me on both an ASUS Sabertooth Z97, and the Z97 Pro. The horizontal set of fins can occlude mobo, tricky connecting fans to headers underneath the fins. Comes with clips for 120 & 140mm fans. Using it with 2 Red Vortex fans, very happy with results. Keeps my OC Devil's Canyon cool and ZERO noise at idle. The included thermal paste works great--tried both the included PH1 and some Artic MX 4 I bought, and saw 6 degrees better temps with their included paste. Mounting is relatively straightforward, although you have to use the right h/w for your setup, it comes with screws, plates, and standoffs for several different system configs. I wasted a lot of time trying to get double-ended screws to work in my mobo that were for a different setup. It comes with everything you need, it's just not necessarily obvious which bits go with your particular system.

Pretty good, sturdy, robust, looks cool
Works well most of the time. Be sure to have adequate room. Sturdy mounting bracket. My PC still overheats during intensive processes eg video rendering, and have to remove the front cover of the case. A fan would solve this but I need it quiet.

Sooooooo close to fitting
This heat sink is very large, and it came soooo close to fitting, but it didn't. It's sad that the heat pipes had to extend as far as they do past the fins. I could have made it work if they didn't... I'm sure it would have done a great job keeping my CPU cool... if only it fit.
