Works for 2006 Ford Freestyle
Worked just fine for my wife's 2006 Ford Freestyle; easy to use, took about 10 minutes to program. Glad I bought it.

Didn't work as intended
Couldn't get this to work with my pc to update it with windows 7. It needs a serial cable but the one it came with is not the correct one for a stock oem windows pc. Its male where it should be female. I had a correct null modem cable but even with that I couldn't get it to work. So I sent it back. I would not recommend this product.

Disappointed
We have been trying to connect this device to our PC and it has never worked, cant get hold of anyone at the company. It doesn't have the right cables to connect to the PC I had to go buy that.. I am not happy with the unit.

Good
I bought this for a 2001 Nissan Altima. I thought it was not working since I kept getting a "Cannot find ECU" error. I replaced the immobilizer unit (electronic part around the ignition barrel) then it picked up the ECU. I then programmed the key with the code, and it started.Do a search for the list of cars this will work on (pdf), its out there on the internet in several places.Good Luck

KInda iff but it does the job for what I needed for my Outback, and also my 13 Hyundai Accent!
Originally got this years ago, somewhere else since I didn't have an Amazon account at the time, to program keys on a 2008 Subaru Outback due to it being used and only having one key, probably due to being a repo special or something. Dealer wanted an ridiculous amount for keys and Subaru made it so you had to use a computer to program it so out of spite I bought this and keys to be cut and programmed them myself. It did the job. I was also able to program the remote start bypass module in due to the way it was set up by Code Alarm for Subaru. You basically follow the OEM instructions like you would when programming with the SSM dealer computer. Can't do that on newer ones after 09 but I think they aren't tied to the transponder either so losing it when programming keys may not be possible, but that's a theory.
