Been eating fresh salads every day all season
So many positive things to say. I have been wanting to grow vegetables in my yard for a long time, but did not want to make the investment in permanent raised beds. This is the first time I have grown so much food, so easily. Do your research and buy the best soil you can afford… I tried many different kinds of soil in different bags, and the most expensive organic soils performed the best. As the seasons changed, I was able to drag the bags around to optimize sun exposure… very hot days required watering twice a day. I was able to grow sunflowers, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, kale, swiss chard, celery, radishes, carrots, snow peas, beans, and misc other vegetables, and have been eating fresh salads every day for months. In the past, I have failed at planting a garden… but sowing seeds in these bags is super easy… I was able to transplant marigolds, sunflowers, poppies, nasturtiums that I germinated in these bags.It can be difficult to lift these bags without cracking the soil early in the season… once the roots are more established, they can be dragged around, and lifted pretty easily. When production of tomatoes started slowing down, I added mushroom compost to all the bags and they all continued to perform. I rotated crops easily.Grow bags allow you to plan garden, identify plants, etc. When I sow, I take photos of what I have sown, to help me keep track of where things are growing

Worth it
After reading the other reviews there were 2 main things I was concerned about—drainage and cleanliness with the lighter bags. After watching my blueberries this week, I can see those concerns were actually one and the same. Some photos I saw made the bag seem like it was dirty after watering the plant—that’s not mud/dirt, it IS the drainage. The water comes out the sides of the pot rather than the bottom. Which is pretty cool. After the excess water drains, the bag returns to its usual color. There were some reviews that said they cut holes in the bottom for drainage—they ruined a lovely bag. Don’t do that. The pot has a pretty thick durable fabric that has just enough give to manipulate it to the height you need if your not using the full 15 gallons. Thats great for hilling, so I might try potatoes in one of my remaining bags. I can see this a wonderfully affordable option for a small duplex like mine. Raised garden beds are pretty, but I’m not tearing up this rental property. Currently regrowing a lettuce plug, so that may be next as well. My tomato plant has plenty of room as well, very satisfied. Will definitely consider these if I expand my garden in the future.

Good
I can't say about sturdiness or durability since I haven't filled them yet with dirt and plants but they look and feel of good quality. One thing I can share - I was worried about getting a size too small so I guessed at 15 gallon size -- a good bit too big for the dahlia bulb I plan to plant in each. I should have gotten a size smaller. Oh well ;) better too big than too small.

Very big
These a very large, so double check the dimensions and make sure it will fit where you want it. Worked well for planting squash and can also be used as a frost cover if you have extra. I have not tried to wash and reuse as the description says you can yet.

Size perfect
These cloth garden bags are the perfect size for vegetable gardening for those that don’t have yard space.
