Pleasantly surprised!
I purchased two of these bays for a Mac Pro case mod - I wanted something that didn't take up too much space, but would provide hookups for 2 x 2.5" drives, and this fit the bill. QUALITY/DESIGN This really is surprisingly well-made for the price, with a mostly-metal construction. The tray-less design is simple yet effective, and the eject mechanism is among the best I have seen - you simply unlock the front tab and pull out! The bay comes with two 3M stickers to help avoid electrical shorts through the metal cage - a nice thought, although not so convenient for those of us that switch drives often. I think a thin plastic coating on the cage would have been better! The dual-color LEDs are not too bright, showing blue for power and a pinkish-red for drive activity. The bay boasts a 50,000 drive insertion rate - hopefully I will NEVER get close to this figure, but it's nice to know it was built to last. Included are two power adapters that go give power to your SATA drives and have a 4-pin connector to power the bay. They are standard molex connectors, not SATA, so keep this in mind when choosing the bay. The key lock feature is nice, but something that I won't use. FUNCTIONALITY Not much to say here - I plugged in the power and SATA cables and each drive was recognized without issue. As far as I understand, these support SATA3 speeds (seeing as they are simply providing an extended connection), and my boot drive (Mushkin SSD) is running at around 250MB/s which is just about right for that drive. OVERALL I chose this bay because it was cheaper than others, but I'm actually very pleased with the overal quality and design. I have added a customer image of one of these bays "in action", so you can see how unimposing these bays are. A great way to add 2 x 2.5" drives to your rig, and highly recommended! Now to swap out the LEDs without ruining the thing...

Excellent
I'm surprised at some of the reviews. This thing is excellent. It's well built (all metal), easy to install, looks amazingly professional, and works flawlessly. It comes with all the cables you'll need and even some 3m protectors if you're going to use rotating disks instead of SSDs. One of my older Intel SSDs (roughly 7 years now) had a plastic frame around it that I had to remove to make it fit but that's not this device's fault. All my other SSDs fit perfectly. They slide in and out easily and I've had no failures connecting any of them. I couldn't be happier and will buy more of these for installation in my other computers when covid lockdown is over.

Lots of metal. Solid construction. Well designed.
This is a quality hot swap drive cage. Lots of metal so it feels very heavy duty. I mounted it an an old chassis with a floppy drive bay. The mounting screws holes farthest back were useful for this so that the front of the drive was at the front of the computer case. One other thing. There is 3M 467 MP tape included to insulate the drive from shorting out againt the bottome of the drive tray. Rather than attach the included tape to the drives as indicated I put the tape on the bottom of the tray in the cage. This is much harder to pull off but I now longer don't have to attach insulting tape to each of the drives I swap in and out. Very nice product.

A Nice Piece Of Electronics
This is a well constructed drive bay for 2.5" drives. It worked perfectly with my SSD drive. It is easy to open and remove or replace the drive. It does have a locking key but locking with the key does not make any electrical connections so if you don't worry about accidentally opening the door the key is not needed. I mounted this in a larger opening on the front of my computer. It would be nice if it came with the larger rail mounts and a face plate for larger openings. Fortunately I had what I needed in the junk box. I would buy this again as it works well.

Works wonderfully
I've had this unit for several months now and I've never had a moment's trouble with it. Once installed you just use it knowing you can rely on it to do what it was designed to do. Speaking of design, it is well constructed of mostly metal and durable plastic. The little doors open and snap closed easily without much force. It also comes with a little key that enables you to lock either compartment if you wish. I use this unit to house my boot SSD drive and to insert other SSD drives as needed, just like you'd do with a USB flashdrive (or zip or floppy drives, remember those?). I also bought a similar item from a different brand but that other one was less well constructed and was a lot fussier about opening & closing it. This one is a keeper!

Great device, but may need a bay converter
This is a nice little well-constructed device to hot swap two 2.5 drives like notebook hard drives or SSSs. I am using it to hold my main OS drive so I can easily swap out the system's main hard drive. It's working fine with my Intel 180GB 330 series 6 Gbps SSD. The device is powered using older 4-pin molex power connectors that convert to SATA power connectors with a split for a small device-specific power connector that probably powers the LEDs on the device. Perhaps you can just plug in a straight SATA power connector if you don't want or need the LEDs. The negatives for me are: * Uses an externally accessible 3.5 in bay which I didn't have in my Corsair 600T case so I had to purchase a 5.25" to 3.5" bay converter and this significantly increases the price * Installation was a bit more complicated than expected But overall a very handy device worthy of 5 stars.

Best I could find, works.
I'd like to see more options and competition in the hot swap market. The inheritor sata connector is to close to use two right angle connectors, but fine otherwise

Muy buen producto recomendado
Funciona a la perfección, es de metal muy resistente, la única mejora desde mi punto de vista que sugeriría es que ya no utilicen los conectores antiguos para los led, por lo demás cumplió todas las expectativas.
