Best cookbook I've ever bought
This is my first Amazon review, despite the fact I have been buying on here for years, but I really feel like Amelia and everyone else needs to know how amazing her most recent cookbook is. My mother lost a bunch of weight when Amelia had her food service business in London years ago and my mum and I have been looking for similar, great tasting food that is healthy, ever since. I have bought her previous books but barely made anything and the food felt more healthy than delicious. This book is perfect and the day it arrived we tagged almost every recipe to make. I especially love this one soup recipe that uses mostly things from your pantry meaning that when we get home late from a trip and have no groceries at home - we are no longer ordering pizza but making this soup. Thank you so much Amelia and I hope everyone loves this book as much as we do!

Disappointing
I've loved all Amelia's other books, so I was excited about this new one. However i felt she had 'dumbed down' here to try to appeal to a wider, less health conscious audience. I fully appreciate she had a baby in the interim between her cookbooks so a lot of her recipes are quick and easy, but unfortunately i felt they lacked thought and were not exciting or enticing enough to want to cook. IT's probably a good book for new or busy mums who would like to be healthier but don't want to be too 'out there'. There was a lot of 'dolloping' things with yoghurt too - but that's not helpful if you don't eat dairy!!

It’s a great book.
This book is great; tasty and real recipes, that could be made in our homes easily, even if we don’t have experience in the kitchen. In my opinion Amelia Freer is an specialist who inspire people to eat healthy and nourish our body .

Fabulous book, fabulous recipes and fabulous advice!
This book was recommended to my wife, so when it arrived and she and I began to read it, we were even more impressed by, not only the recipes, but the quality of the book (well-made), it has a nice soft, glossy feel to it, indented text in the cover, all of which show that this is a quality item. The recipes are all grouped by different meal times (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & Sweet Things), which is a nice touch. My wife was particularly impressed with the variety of meals and the interchangeable ingredients, for example, if you follow a vegan diet or gluten free you can substitute eggs etc for other ingredient(s), which she recommends. This is a nice touch, as some other cook books, dont offer this support.Lovely photos of most of the dishes and tips on how to cook them are also a nice touch. Since purchasing the book, I have recommended it to 4 other people, all of whom have made the purchase and thanked me for the recommendation. Some cookbooks, the recipes never turn out like the picture or description in the book, we haven't found this at all, out of the 12 recipes we have made. It maybe too early to say this, but I will update my review if this changes. We haven't had time to go through all 286 pages :-)Not just a cookbook full of recipes, but good nutritional and cooking advice too.One nice touch, is that on the back cover, it says 10% of the sale price of the book, will be donated to 'Women Supporting Women', which was set up through the Prince's Trust.Well done Amelia Freer!

Great cookbook for busy people!
We recently bought the cookbook. I am a nutritionist and the people I work with (and myself!) don’t have much time for recipes including an endless list of hard-to-find ingredients. Therefore, I only recommend cookbooks including quick and easy healthy recipes. I like the fact that it’s straight to the point, that you can find all the ingredients you need at your local shop or supermarket. Amelia suggests variations, which is great, as less restrictions means you feel less frustrated and more creative. For instance, if you don’t have courgettes for her veggie bread, you could use sliced spinach or grated carrots. We have tried quite a few recipes over the last few days, so far the winner is her “lazy dahl”. The best dahl we have ever made at home! I recommended the cookbook to a friend, who then made the dahl for her daughter’s packed lunch. She said her child loved it so much she wanted to lick the flask! Thank you Amelia for making our work a little bit easier! Karine & Mirko

AWESOME book!
This book is making me so happy! We have been eating from it pretty much daily and each recipe has been a total joy. Gone are the days of boring salads because every one of the salads in this book are completely AMAZING. And I have found that, without noticing, I’ve been eating quite a lot of vegetarian/vegan which is so not normal for me but it’s been surprisingly lovely. My carnivore husband who is terrified of lentils and ‘anything odd’ has astounded himself in that he loves the lentil & lemon chicken salad, and wants to have the roasted veg/pesto/rice/pumpkin seeds/goats cheese again ASAP. He was very suspicious of the creamy mushroom pasta sauce (which includes cannellini beans and feta) and he ate 3 helpings. Beef and rocket salad with creamy horseradish is on the menu tonight - so it’s definitely not all veggie at all. Really, I just love this book, it’s the best book on my shelf and believe me, I have a MASS of cookery books!

Title perfectly reflects what is inside this most useful recipe book.
I have so enjoyed leafing through this new recipe book. It is filled with simple, tasty, non-challenging recipes that look and sound incredibly appealing. The concept is incredibly simple, but that's the whole point! There are very few blocking factors to the recipes; it feels very doable. I've made a few of the soups already, and it's great to have some new ideas of baked dishes as well as the seasonal suggestions for salads (what a great idea!). This book is also encouraging my children to join me in cooking too, which is great. They are able to scan the different options in the book with ease and quickly choose what we can make next (the peanut butter cookies were a winner, but they have also enjoyed making the fish cakes and chicken burgers). I'd recommend this book to anyone who needs to keep cooking and shopping lists simple, yet wants to eat healthy, fresh, delicious food.
