HANDS DOWN - THE BEST! 🍯
AMAZING NECTAR! Mesmerizing spun gold thick rich texture! Impressive on artisan toast, imported cheese, fresh fruit, Melted/ drizzled over popcorn with hot sauce and over vanilla bean ice cream - DELISH!!! ! Notes includes: woods, buttery, carmelo, a touch of ginger, and malty...NOT very sweet! This is my new FAVE honey! I actually like this one notch better than Manuka and Ulmo, which are in my top 5! Honey is like wine...it consists of many unique notes and undertones ....and depending on the type of soil, sun, shade, flowers & trees the bees thrive in will determine the taste. REWAREWA is definitely ROBUST, RICH and COMPLEX. I'M IN LOVE!!!! THANK YOU - I will be ordering more...by the case!

Unusual and expensive honey from New Zealand
The Onuku Premium New Zealand Natural 100% Pure Rewarewa Honey 500 Grams arrived and like most people, I had not heard of it. I went to the Internet and found that “Rewarewa (Knightia excelsa) is a honeysuckle tree, indigenous to New Zealand, that gives us an outstanding honey rich in taste and beneficial properties.” I have used Manuka honey from New Zealand and like it. When I tasted the Onuku honey it did remind me a bit of Manuka – sweet and just a touch grainy. I agree with the experts who say that “Rewarewa Honey has a beautiful deep reddish amber appearance and rich, full bodied caramel-like taste.” As mentioned the honey comes from New Zealand's native Honeysuckle tree and we are told that it is high in natural antioxidants. The Rewarewa honey tastes great in my green tea. Only a teaspoon of this thick honey is needed in the tea.Bottom line: This is expensive honey that we might treat ourselves with from time to time.

High quality and nice smell
It has a very unique taste. Clearly high quality. A bit different from the regular honeys you buy here in the US. I really liked the smell and the packaging. Recommend it very much especially compared to the industrial brands you may get out there.

Different but delicious
Full disclosure: I love honey, but I'm no connoisseur. while I occasionally indulge in and enjoy fancier types of honey, I'm not overly fussed with anything designated "specialty". I can tell from the price and how this honey is sourced that it is a specific higher-quality kind of honey than what you'd get from the little golden bear at the grocery store. All honey is sweet, but this honey was on another level. I was stunned by how little I needed as sweetener. It has a very thick and viscous quality, yet it's easily spreadable. The flavor is so strong that a little goes a long way. The only knock against this honey is its price, but I do believe you are getting what you pay for. For me, I probably wouldn't order this again because I'm not someone who needs a particular kind of high-quality honey to be happy. However, it is certainly delicious and might be fun in a gift basket for a foodie in your life.

Delicious Honey
This is delicious honey from the blossoms of the rewarewa tree – a native tree to New Zealand. It has a slightly malty & caramel taste. It is not herbal like the manuka honey. I tried it plain & then had it over ice cream – yum. I had a bit in my café au lait this morning – yum. This is a very good honey & yes, it is unique.

Onuku Premium New Zealand Natural 100% Pure Rewarewa Honey
This honey was unlike any honey I've had before. I liked it, but I don't think I'd get it again for no other reason than I like other types more personally.Pros:- Thick- very powerful honey flavor- very sweetCons:- Mine was grainy, which may have been a quality issue as other review did not have the same texture.
