Bought this for my 6 year old daughter to use on a back to school family campout. Because this year we're backpacking, it needed to be lightweight and because she's going with multiple siblings and just her dad, it also needed to be something her little 6year old hands could manipulate and repack herself to help out dad. She can easily unpack, inflate, and repack herself and it's light weight and small packing size easily fits into her backpack. As of today, it's only been used outside in the backyard, but has proven to be sturdy and the pillow it came with has a soft material that's comfortable. She's even more excited about the upcoming backpacking campout with her hot pink sleeping pad.

This is a great quality product for the price! It’s definitely a Must Have for my backpacking trips! Makes sleeping in the tent so much more comfortable. I am a side sleeper so my hip bones dig into the ground when I am in sleeping bag. This pad makes all the difference is a good nights sleep and no sleep at all. It packs up nicely and I can fit it into my hiking backpack with no problems. It’s easy to inflate and makes sleeping a dream. I highly recommend the minimal extra weight for sleeping comfort. I got the pink and my 5 year daughter loves the color so I let her have the pillow that came with it and she is a happy camper!!

It's a great product for the price. There was a similar item on Amazon (same price) that had a higher rating but I ended up getting this since it also came with a pillow. However, the pillow doesn't hold air. The pad itself is very light weight, comfortable to sleep on. A little harder to inflate than I imagined but definitely doable without using a pump. Also comes with a nice case. In all, I would probably buy another one but I do wish the pillow is more usable.

I’ve been using those big, thin, egg carton Z-rests for all my trips. First of all this packs much smaller and much lighter than the old pads. And inflating took less than 3min and I just went slow to not get light headed. The valve is awesome because I could inflate, pull away and it wouldn’t let any air out!I’m a side sleeper and I usually wake up many times while camping with my hip so sore from digging into the earth. I couldn’t feel the ground in this thing! It’s crazy. I don’t understand it but it just works. I love it! It came with patches and glue as well.It’s been about 3 years and I still use this on every trip, and it’s so comfortable and I haven’t had to use the patch kit yet.

This sleeping pad is very lightweight and packs down perfectly for backpacking. The included pillow is nice as well. However, my son and I used this pad on a couple separate camping trips, and each time, the pad was almost completely deflated in less than half a night. We checked the valve and made sure everything was secured properly, but even so, it deflated and made for a less than ideal nights sleep.On our last campout, my son's tent got wet and had standing water inside. The pad got wet and leached pink dye into the water in his tent.Overall, this pad and pillow would be great for backpacking and camping, but the fact that it deflated means that it won't be our go-to for outings, and I may look for something different.

*** edit after a few trips ***Have used this pad and pillow for 2 multi night backpacking trips and after the second trip, the pillow material tore on the inside but the outside fabric is intact so I can’t patch it. And then a third trip, just a one nighter the pad would not stay inflated and I cannot find a leak. Just lost all its air overnight. Tested it again at home and same, no apparent leak, but lost its inflation after about a couple hours. Suppose you get what you pay for! Oh and also, beware the bright pink! My first trip was a hot and sweaty one and didn’t use any blankets or sleeping bags and woke up with a pink checkered pattern all over me. LolJust finished my first backpacking trip with this sleeping pad and pillow and it was definitely a great buy! I didn’t feel the ground at all, slept on my stomach, back, and side lol. Didn’t lose air, super easy and quick to inflate, even easier to deflate and roll up. I did order the pink set and the color did rub off onto my skin when I sweat overnight (backpacking in Texas and did not use a blanket or sleeping bag at all) but I’m sure I can wash it with a cloth dry it and not have any more issues. It was extremely lightweight and rolled up nice and small. Very happy with my Hihiker pad and pillow.

So glad I went with this sleeping pad!!!It is super lightweight, easy to inflate and deflates with zero time/effort thanks to the two valve setting option. Makes setting up camp, and getting an early start in the a.m. a breeze.I took a good look at how it was originally packaged, to make sure it fit well in the bag-but even without this extra attention you will not have a problem. Great design, all around.Pillow was a bonus, and is still under my head when I wake in the mornings.I was a bit skeptical of the thickness, until I slept on it and had a great nights sleep. It kept me warmer on cool evenings and isn’t super noisy when moving around.Grab this one up! The color choices where another bonus, my bright fushia will keep my items set apart and easy to claim on group outings.

I got this because I like to go camping and when I do I tend to choose non-electric sites, which rules out a ton of other sleeping options. This sleeping pad ended up being perfect. Very lightweight/small, so it takes up very little space. Comes with an inflatable pillow which is going to be perfect for hikers. It just ended up a bonus for me.Inflation takes maybe, 3-6 big breaths? depending on your size, and possibly a few tiny breaths to fill it out just where you want it. So it's fully done in just a minute or two.
