WYZM LED Swimming Pool Light Bulb for Pentair Hayward Light Fixture,120V,with Remote,IP68 Waterproof

What a great, beautiful pool light!! I am very pleased and satisfied. I had purchased an LED pool light at my local store but it turned out it was too long to fit into my 20 year old light housing. This WYZM color changing LED light fit into my original light housing using original wiring and original light switch. By just turning the light switch off and on I can change the lighting color options.... Easy peasy! I've had the lift installed now for 3 months so far it's performing as advertised. In my previous pool I installed a Pentair IntelliBrite 5G which I paid to install. I decided since I moved to try and save some money and do it myself.Installation: Although installation should be very easy, sometimes things go wrong. For me it was first difficult to release the light screw, than after removing the existing fixture from the pool (of course with the breaker off) It took a while to open it (again screws were old and some rusty), and even when trying to unscrew the old light bulb it broke and I had to remove it. The Lens gasket was falling apart, and all together it all seemed like unless replaced wouldn't last much longer. After getting over all those hurdles, and installing a new gasket, I crossed my fingers, submerged the light and was happy to see it was tight and sealed.Operation: My pool is about 15K Gallons and the light is plenty bright for it. There is a nice choice of different programing.Comparing it with the IntelliBrite I will write the pros/cons:Pros:- As bright as the IntelliBrite- A fraction of the costCons:- This might be minor but with this light every turn on and off changes mode. So if you want to go back to a mode you will have to turn it on/off 15 times (there are 16 settings). With the IntelliBrite, in order to switch modes you would have to turn on/off quick, if you turned it slow it would reset to mode 1. This allowed me to remember which mode I likes and turn it on/off that number of times. In this light it's not possible and I kinda have to guess which mode I am an keep cycling until I find a mode I like.Overall I would def. recommend this product. Have some patience while installing it, and be ready to address any issues that come, none of them are complicated.

this is a great replacement and upgrade for standard size pool light fixtures (8.something inch diameter) with standard american screw base 12 volt bulbs... I had a Pentair fixture from the mid 80s in a 11x22 pool of about 17,000 gallons and a 300w halogen bulb... this light generally looks about like a 250w bulb and still has plenty of light to fill the pool nicelyit has 16 different modes that range from basic solid light colors that don't change up to very fast color switching in sort of a strobe / disco kind of look... the colors are attractive and bright, except for the red which is quite dim, but that is standard with LED technologythe bulb draws 33w, but that doesn't include power conversion wasted as heat transforming it down to 12v from 120v... most transformers of this type are inefficient, so I imagine it draws about 60 watts, which is still only a small fraction of the power usage of the stock 300w halogen which probably chews about 500-600 wattsthe lifespan of each individual LED is claimed to be 65,000 hours and it has about 252 LEDS which means it could lose 20 and still be a very useful light... so 8.5 to 9 years 24 hours a day usage, realistically it will probably last 30-40 years if they are real about the time between failuresoverall an interesting upgrade to a pool, easy to do the next time you change your waterPro:- bright enough to replace a 300w light in a 17000 to 20000 gallon pool easily and probably larger- extremely long design life- variety of colors and animation programs- uses basic light switch to change programs... just turn off for about 1-2 seconds, then back on and you are at the next of 16 modes- uses basic generic 12v transformer light fixtureCon:- not as bright as halogen- red is less than half the brightness of the other colors, which is a limitation of red LEDs and as designed- no way to just go to a specific mode with an intelligent controller, but not really a big deal- the flashing modes are pretty much useless as they are very intense and disorientingoverall a very satisfying upgrade to the pool

Great replacement for the stock, boring white bulb. Good advice from the seller to make sure what voltage to get. 35 watt was at least as bright, if not brighter than the standard white I replaced. I wouldn't get anything less. Easy to change programs. Disco mode is great for kids & parties. Lots of options for relaxing in the evenings. Wish I would have gotten this years ago. Be sure to get a replacement gasket at the same time. Not worth the risk not to. Had the bulb one month now and absolutely no issues. Installation was plug and play.

I am very very pleased with this LED replacement pool light. I was originally going to get the Color Logic by Hayward light for $550 but the reviews all said that it died in on each year or less so I decided to buy this one. The bright colors and assortment of options make this bulb amazing and it really modernizes any existing pool with an old holligen bulb.

Amazing upgrade to my pool!! Lots of different colors and shows, we love it. Be sure to install it properly and replace the lens gasket http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DNTS74?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 and tighten it all the way and it should work fine.

CHECK YOUR DIAMETER OF YOUR EXISTING HOUSING! This lamp will NOT fit all housings - this lamp has a huge diameter. Would not fit my Hayward Housing

I bought this bulb to replace my existing plain white bulb. Installed it and as soon as it was turned on it worked for 5min then completely burned out. Of course I waited too long to install it and it is not returnable. I will never buy from this seller nor this product again... very disappointed !
