We purchased this for our son for a birthday and it is a really good set for a beginner. It's a great price and allows him to figure out how to use them without concern for potentially breaking something expensive.

Update (Feb 27, 2025): After writing my initial review, the seller reached out and is sending me a free replacement. So... that's pretty awesome, even for this $10 item. The quality is sturdy enough that I'm not too worried with moving the parts around to see how to open/close it. HOWEVER, with a phone case, popsocket, and ring light, the stick isn't stable and your phone and the light will fall. It's made pretty well for the price and everything function pretty well regarding maneuvering. The remote works well, I made it a bracelet to not lose the remote since there is a little area on the back of the remote for keychains. The tripod works well and snaps back in place if you're not using the feature. Bluetooth was easy to connect and remote was responsive. The length that the stick reaches out to is a good distance. I would reccomend this for anyone. When closed, it's not very small and compact enough for a small to medium sized backpack.

Nice tool. Not too heavy so can easily take with me in my purse. I didn’t realize it had an app and Bluetooth device so that was a nice surprise. You can tell I’m new to this kind of thing. I have been playing with it and can see it’s worth. I recommended it to my daughter then decided that it isn’t too expensive so I just ordered her one. I don’t know that I can speak to any comparisons but I don’t like this.

I love that this gadget is super light, it folds into a 6 inch stick so it’s super portable, it extends, it works with a tripod option, it comes with a remote control that already has a battery in it and a spare battery plus the price is super cheap. The stick was functional without extending and the tripod works on a stable surface. Unfortunately, I had to return due to a defect in the unit I received or maybe it’s a flaw in the design. The stick has a groove so if you choose to extend it to a certain length, the locking mechanism will engage and hold onto the groove to secure the setting and prevent the stick from turning around. I have an iPhone 15 which the stick held only in an upright, straight position BUT when you extend and raise the stick at an angle, the stick turns around as if the phone becomes too heavy for it to handle which tells me, the locking mechanism is not engaging properly or defective. I’m afraid to re-order only to return it again. I hope the manufacturer will improve on the quality of this product. I would buy it again if they did even if it would cost more.

This seems to be the product we used the most during our two-week European trip with my wife. We didn't have to ask others for help, and most importantly, it was so compact that it fit easily into a small bag. On top of that, the Bluetooth switch paired well with my iPhone, making it very convenient to use. Highly recommend it!
