The drop body is precision machined from solid steel bar stock for it’s high strength. This is welded to the heavy wall steel receiver with a six-axis robotic MIG process to ensure repeated quality. Finally, this assembly is powder coated to provide a long lasting, durable finish. The ball mount is CNC machined from a custom extruded, tempered, solid aluminum bar and is finished with a unique anodizing finish to give it the custom Hyper Hitch look! The 2” & 2-5/16” balls are CNC machined from solid stainless steel bar stock to provide maximum corrosion resistance and durability. The two balls on every hitch are factory tightened together with 250 ft-lbs of torque using our custom pentagon style socket for maximum security. In addition to preloading, the threads are held in place with thread locker to ensure a permanent bond. We stand behind our products, which is why we offer a free lifetime re-tightening of the balls. If for any reason the balls loosen themselves up, we will re-tighten them at no cost. We offer this service because if installed improperly, a loose tow hitch ball can be extremely dangerous; not only for you, but everyone on the road behind you! At Hyper Hitch, we’re committed to the safety and security of our customers and their property. This hitch is rated to tow up to 7,500lbs with the 2” ball and up to 12,500lbs with the 2-5/16” ball. Just the fact he called to make sure the product was good, meant a lot to me
The media could not be loaded. READ THIS REVIEW!!!I actually wanted to return this. I submitted for it and was going to send it back. I got a call from Ron, at Hyper, asking if everything was ok. I explained what I was looking to do and the application. I wanted to have a locking retaining pin, and we talked through what I was trying to do. He was understanding and drop a ton of info on the research they had done and the results as to why they have their design the way it is. He wasn't selling me, he was explaining the use options. Just the fact he called to make sure the product was good, meant a lot to me. He was genuine and I knew he saw where I was coming from. We brain stormed a little and I said I could use it. Then, I screwed up. I have 4" lift on my truck and got the 4 pin drop. My trailer didn't level. I sent him pics and he sent out a hitch with more pin options. I still needed to tow, so I couldn't send what I had back yet. He said "when you get it, swap it and then send the other one back". He lost money on the shipping and I feel bad for that. That's how confident they are with their product. Now, I have a Rockstar set up, and I got customer service that actually cared that I was happy with how I spent $200. All my buddies tow our side by side's 3-5 hours away to ride, and every one of them were impressed with the design and the care from Hyper. I wish all companies would stand behind their product like Ron and Hyper.
