Nice curried soup when it's made correctly
This soup is abit hit and miss unfortunately.Sometimes this is a gorgeous curried soup and other times it tastes like a cross between oxtail and tomato.Obviously quality control at Heinz isn't what it used to be or they have trainees not properly supervised on the production line! When it's good and up to recipe standard, as per the tin, it's an incredibly tasty warming soup, when it's not, it's an allergen problem at the very least and definitely needs looking into. It's a Shame as Heinz used to be a great reliable company... A company you could trust with high manufacturing standards. Not now.My ratings are for when it's made correctly. If its not I'd only give it 1star

A lovely flavoured, creamy soup.
Another lovely Heinz soup. There is something about the flavour of mushroom soups that is just lovely.Creamy and with a hint of smokiness.Combined with chicken, you get a lovely warming bowl of soup.It is also perfect as a base to a chicken stew or casserole.Nutritionally it's what I would call inert.Nothing too bad, but not a lot of nutritional goodness either. It's only 1.6% sugar, which is very good.Salt wise I would class it as medium. It is 0.6% salt, which sounds low. But that does work out at a whole tin giving you 40% of your recommended daily allowance.(The salt content of this soup is amber on the traffic light system). It does contain wheat, so isn't suitable for a gluten free diet. It's low in fat at 2.8%. With saturates being a tiny 0.4%.It's 4% mushrooms and 2% chicken. So you are definitely eating this for the taste, rather than the nutritional benefits of mushrooms and chicken. However, having said all that, it is very tasty, and as I previously stated, is my first choice as a base sauce when cooking a chicken stew.I hope you found this review helpful.

Not the best of Heinz's soups
The flavour of the Chicken and Mushroom soup is okay but nothing special. Texture was thin, watery, and not at all rich. A huge disappointment compared with their Cream of Tomato and Minestrone.

Not as good as Campbells
I wanted to give this brand a try since it is not readily available in the states. Also because it is the number one soup brand in the world. I was disappointed. Campbells is a much better flavor.

Terrible value
This item is way overpriced. Instead of ounces they show 400 grams which was misleading to me. I wasExpecting a “Big” can as it says on the label rather than a standard size can of vegetable soup for “$13.99”. Anymore rip-offs like this and I will seriously consider not re-newing my prime membership. It also reflects badly on Heinz as well. I can see why a return is not allowed because it is such a rip-off.
