I love this My go to, leaves my hair looking so good and I love the smell, It does stain everything but its so worth it. It stays in my hair for about 2 weeks and fades out to a really nice plum purple

Midnight Tanzanite looks pretty nice even if my hair was too dark for it to look deep purple unless its in the light

I have bleached my hair once and dyed it purple using a different brand a few times before using Splat. I’m really hoping it stained my hair well so I don’t have to keep re-dying every few weeks. It did stain my sink a little but I was really careful not to get it everywhere. Also after my 45 mins was up I rinsed my hair outside using the hose pipe for a good 5 mins then came in to shower that helped with not getting my tub stained. I will update this post to let everyone know when my hair starts fading. I only wash my hair twice a week. UPDATE: I redyed my hair a little over a month of posting this review. This time I let the dye sit for 2 hours before rinsing it out. It didn’t dry my hair out BUT I still used a hair conditioning mask. ANOTHER UPDATE: even though I let the dye sit for 2 hours my hair still faded within a month. I added a picture of what it looks like faded. I do think it’s fading pink because of the color correction I had to do due to the other purple brand I used and this Splat may have red undertones instead of blue so it fades pink and not blueish gray

My hair was too dark for this dye. I was hoping it would work on my hair but it just gave it a purple tint in the light. My hair is a darker brown with a reddish tint. It does stain your skin BAD for days, so wear the gloves and don’t get it on your face. It also stains the tub, but eventually washes off. The dye does wash out for days and you will wake up with dye on your skin if you leave your hair down and it isn’t completely dry when you sleep. I Would use again if I had lighter hair. This brand is known for sticking to your hair really well. I have used it plenty of times before this when my hair was lighter and it worked great.

Beautiful purple but holy cow does it stain! We’ve washed her hair 5+ times now and the color hasn’t faded at all but it’s purple everytime we rinse lol. Her hair was a light brown before and the purple covered it wonderfully! (Picture with her holding bunny is before hair color) and 2 pics in natural lighting!

I really love the shade. This product is good for people who have some experience with coloring their own hair. I’ve noticed some transfer of color to pillow cases etc, and it stains any thing it touches.

Used on real hair extensions and the dye faded within a month and I never even got to wash the extensions. Very poor quality. The color was pretty tho when fresh.

Don’t listen to everyone who says splat is terrible. It depends on your hair type and porosity. I have low porosity hair and it’s the only thing that stays how a normal semi permanent would for most people. It won’t kill your hair if you take care of it and don’t bleach your hair often. Especially if you know you don’t wanna change your color for a while.

I have been using this for the past 1.5 years and I use it as a treatment for my hair + hair color! The shine and softness it provides is amazing, it has helped my hair grow faster whilst giving it a wonderful color. I have dark brown hair and I am completely against bleaching! So when I started applying it, it gave me a tint kind of effect which I was happy with. I love it because it stays on my hair for almost 40 days and even when it gently wears off, in the sun it will still have its effect! It covers the white/grey hair but since it’s not permanent it will wear off after some time. This time when I used it the color really stayed because my personal hair color has lightened up due to constant exposure to sea salt and the sun… so my hair is really really purple and I love it! It rarely stains, it only does when the hair is so wet but the beauty of it is that it easily washable not like other dyes where it really remains. I highly recommend this brand especially the one which doesn’t need bleach and doesn’t have bleach! All natural ✨
