Multiple Uses for Mixed Media
You can use the shapes as fat squares, and use them without mounting them on anything else. Very convenient. You can also cut this foam into shapes using a craft knife, creating custom-shape stamps you love. And you can press them into paint and then print onto a created background--all wonderful. However, I used them in monoprinting on Gelli plates, and they have a special use for me. The Magic Stamp intended use is to heat the stamp with a hair dryer or heat gun, push it into something raised and textured and then use the stamp you have just made. Easier than carving a stamp.I like to push the hot stamp onto a plate of rice, a line of rubber bands, or a squiggle of wire. Texture plates work, too. All good. Then I discovered something even better.I have raised letter stamps. Of course, if I press them into the paint on my monoprint, the paper will have the reverse address. What I do now is press a series of letters (right to left) into the hot stamp, stamp the reversed image into the paint and then, when I pull the print, the words are readable. Love them for this!

Love These
I have had so much fun making stamps for the backgrounds of my junk journal. I don't think these would work well for detailed stamps (unless you are talented and can carve them) but they work great for what I wanted to do. Eight in the package and I have used 4 so far. I heated the foam and pressed into whatever I had that I thought would make a good background stamp. One I pressed into a piece of fluorescent lighting grid - one I pressed onto my MS Crafts Scoring Board - one I pressed onto a wire basket with a diamond mesh pattern and one I pressed onto a glass candy jar. All four made great stamps for background of collage pages (see my image added to the product page). I even had to reheat the one for the glass jar a few times to get the impression on the foam straight and it worked great every time. And, if I ever get tired of these designs I can heat the foam again and make new designs. See my image on the product page: Clearsnap Magic Stamp Moldable Foam Stamp Set

Fun to use
Purchased for use with gel press mono printing. Allows a lot of freedom to create new stamps and by using all six edges you can really get a bang for your buck. Takes awhile to balance how much heat to use and how hard you have to press but any mistakes are easily corrected. Great craft tool if you're into gel press, card making, or any type of mixed media projects.

Great for Art journaling
I recently bought these after seeing them in a video on you tube and I love them. They are great for making your own background stamps. No you can't really get fine detail with them. They are great if you Art Journal or make tags etc. they are perfect. If you are interested in purchasing, there are some really great you tube videos you can look at to get a better idea of what you can do with them. They also go back to their original shape very well.

great, but if you want any kind of text ...
These stamps did not take on the patterns that I tried to apply very well. I evenly heated with a heat gun on low until they were malleable, but found my pattern did not imprint overly well. If your going for a large pattern with big details, great, but if you want any kind of text (I was using a negative with 1/2" text), this doesnt work so well. Even overheating the foam I was unable to get a print to remain indented enough to clearly stamp out my pattern.

So Much Fun!
I thought there were only going to be 4. however there are 8 in the package.I wish there were more.. cause some of the things I've made are so neat Ihaven't re-heated over. Some peeps say that you won't get quite the detailas you would with real stamps, but on many occasions they stamped justfine!I love these little foam stamps
