Very glad I bought this jacket. This is one heavy duty leather jacket (the size large weigs 6 & 1/2 pounds). The leather is thick but not stiff and the extra patches on the elbows and shoulders will definately be a good thing if , god forbid, you were to go down. The action back allows the upper arms to move without pulling on the neck. Even though the inner liner does not go into the sleeves it is still quite warm. I did notice one difference from the picture though and that is the snaps at the end of the sleeves are no longer there. A small thing really as the zippers hold the sleeves closed just fine. Just a small cosmetic diffeerence. As for size; when I originally ordered this jacket it said "true to size". So being a medium that is what I ordered.. While it did fit, it was on the snug side and the neck was quire snug so I returned it and reordered a large. Really like the fit now and I can even wear a hoodie under it if the temp really goes down! I see that since then they have changed the advice to "Runs small. Order one size up." I agree with that. As for the return; this vendor does not do exchnges but, I did my return through Amazon and reordered the larger size and did not have to pay any shipping costs. Order this jacket! Jacket, Price & Vendor cna't be beat!! You won't be sorry.

This jacket is the real deal. It's comfortable, but heavy, which is what you want if your buying it to keep your skin off the pavement. It's definitely warm, so keep that in mind if your looking for a "summer" riding jacket as you will break a sweat putting it on. Size is funny for us big guys. I'm 6' 290 lbs, and ordered a 5xl to get around my gut. It fits good through the shoulders, and I can zip it up, but the arms are about 5 inches too long, so sizes are more for no gut guys. I rolled the end of the arms back inside so they weren't hanging off me. But even if I go to a leather shop and pay $100 to get the arms altered, the coat is still a great deal. I ordered a 5xl, and can zip it up around my 58 inch beer gut. Overall, a coat that will probably last a lifetime.

First of all for trying to determine the best size I read many of the reviews that were left that said order a size up. I ended up taking that good advice and ordering a size up than I normally order for a jacket. I ordered an XL (I am 5' 8" 187 lbs) I normally wear a large jacket. The jacket fits perfectly. The jacket is heavy and of high quality with many pockets and features, like zipper openings front and back of the shoulders for air vents. Leather seem's of high grade and quality (time will tell). I have been on 3 motorcycle rides prior to this review. I had a tshirt on and the jacket over it 49 degrees cruising on the highway at a speed of 70 mph and I was nice and toasty. I am EXTREMELY PLEASED with this product and purchased. I do not write a ton of reviews but I felt this product deserved one!

worth every single dollar. This jacket weighs like literally 30 pounds. I'm 5,9 and muscular. Finding jackets that fit my arms and don't look awkwardly to long is hard. This leather jaket literally fits like a glove. I love it. If you crash in this jacked Don't expect any road rash on your arms Bc this damn think is thick man. I had to take the linner out bc it's like an oven in this jacket. Must buy if you are looking for a sturdy leather jacket.

Was just time for a new jacket to ride with and after a few months of looking and trying jackets on even bought a couple of to end up just giving them away due to discomfort and poor quailty which this jacket has no discomfort what so ever and the quality is superb I mean I wish I bought this sooner and seem it a couple times and just was leery of buy a jacket without seeing it and trying it on but dam it was spot on size chart was perfect cause its a perfect fit and I read every one of the reviews and must say I was wrong should of went with this one days ago so if anyone is having a second thought I say dont you have enough reviews you have thought about it enough just buy the dam thing you will be blown away this jacket rocks

To start off with, Leather Up sends their products out fast. Even though I chose the standard shipping option I still got it in 2 business days which is remarkable for where I live.The photos show the jacket off perfectly. The leather is pretty thick and the jacket is heavy, but that's what you want in a riding jacket. Right when I put it on I was confident it would do its job. The jacket is very warm, I did a ride with some friends from Pismo Beach to Fresno during the night and the temperatures were ranging from 55 degrees all the way down to 39 degrees for the last hour of the ride and my upper body wasn't cold at all.Protection wise is were it excels though. I hit wet pavement in a tight turn and laid my bike down, slid for awhile and then went of the road and up a bank. My right shoulder and arm took pretty much all the impact but I didn't get hurt at all minus soreness from the initial hit. I thought the jacket would have a lot of damage because it was covered in dirt and mud but when I wiped it down later you couldn't even tell that it had been in an accident, no damage to it at all. It definitely saved me a lot of pain.For the price you really can't beat it. It is a fitted jacket though, so a lot of the reviews on Leather Up's site say order a size larger. I normally wear a large so I ordered a large and it fits just fine, but if you do plan on layering up then you might want to go a size larger anyways.I normally don't write reviews, but this jacket really helped out during my crash and felt the knowledge needed to be passed on. You can go to leather up's website and look at other reviews and they even have a video, but the jacket and shipping is cheaper on Amazon. Good luck and safe riding.

jacket fits good and looks good !!!! Definitely a heavy leather jacket I took the elbow pads out because they annoyed me but other then that it keeps me warm and has the option to remove the liner and unzip the vents to help it breath definitely worth the money
