Not sure what some people are expecting at this price point. These are not soft, squeaky, amazingly well built, or realistic. They are way bigger than actual mice, but smaller than the really big rats. They are good at moving around (maybe not on soft carpet) and making people laugh. Bought it as desk decoration for my wife and she loved them, and so did her colleagues at work.

One of the 'rats' broke right away. I returned all of them through UPS and I even received a refund which they wouldn't issue if they hadn't received it and now months later they are charging me because they claim they did not receive it. I no longer have the UPS receipt so I have no proof of anything. I've never had this happen before, really disappointing.

These are a great value for the money. They are cute and plush. They are easy to use and my three-year-old grandson was very entertained by them. They are well thought out and do not stop when they hit a wall but sometimes will turn. It is also easy to find them up for smaller children and have them just hold them by the base of the tail until letting them go. It was a fun Christmas gift!

They are slot of fun for my dog although they aren’t very sturdy. She enjoys chasing multiple ones and I love watching her try to decide which one to get. I have bought 3 sets and of those, I’ve had to glue several tails back on and the wind up has broken on about 4 of the 12. Otherwise, they are lots of fun for her.

The price is reasonable considering that you get 4 of them. The mice look pretty good. The tail is lacking though...too short and plastic instead of some kind of cord or string. This may have been a conscious choice, considering that string and cats shouldn't mix. The spring mechanism that drives them works ok, but you may have trouble getting traction on slick floors...the mice aren't heavy enough. One of them was broken right from the bag...the disc used to wind it up had popped out and wouldn't engage with the spring. Overall, I was pleased, but there are definite improvements that could be done.

two mice of 8 worked well. three mice of 8 worked sort of. 3 mice of 8 did not work at all! I had been given some of these mice a while ago. my cats love them. The ones my friend bought at Job Lots and sent to my cats seemed to last a long time. These, however, are cheezy and not well made. i expect a life expectancy of a week or so for all of them. I would NOT recommend these mice and neither would my very disappointed cats.

The wind up mice are cute. I have only wound up 2 for my cats. The 2 worked well. One lost its winder - the big white thing on the outside - but I found the part of the mouse that the winder attaches to and re-attached the winder - now the mouse works well. I will reserve adding more to my review as I use the other 2 mice. Our cats are quite interested in the big mice rolling along and they seem to enjoy them - as long as I keep them wound and moving.

If you are familiar with the children's book "The Mitten", this is a perfect mouse to go along with the story. I knitted a large mitten and found all of the animals to put inside. My 3 year old granddaughter loves to read the story and find all of the animals they talk about. The mitten is a perfect purse like holder for all of the critters.
