Mosin Nagant M44 M91/30 5 per Pouch Stripper Clip

These clips work well 1 of the 5 is just a bit too lose and sometimes a bullet pops out, but it loads in the Mosin the best. Some fit tighter and some less so, but are worth the money. They take time and practice to use with speed and precision. I take the bolt out of my Mosin (so its totally safe) and just practice with the clips. I have done this a few hundred times between every range trip. So once at the range you can load and just shoot and work on refining your technical skill with a hot rifle. My last range trip was 200 rounds consecutively. And that was 40 reloads in a live fire situation. With 400 rounds through all by stripper slip let me give some tips. 1. Buy lots of these! With the fit being different you will have some that are too lose and are unsafe to use in a high pressure/combat situation. You can make a tight clip a bit looser through use, but a very lose clip will not get tighter even with some bending gain is minimal. 2. Yes the clips can go in either way when you start. But in time they get formed and worn by the stripper clip guide in the rifle. So eventually they will only go in one way. I took a Sharpie and numbered each clip so that you can keep track of tight and lose clips (even for tight odd for lose). As well as if you number them on the spine and always insert them numbers right side up you should have a smooth feed. 3. When you load a clip the first round goes in normal. All other rounds should go in tilted out at an angle and placed so that the rims are in front of the previous one. You will know this is right when the rounds point straight except for the bottom, which points slightly upward. This will not cure rimlock if you drop your rifle 6 to12 (vertical) when you work the bolt because the rounds to jiggle and shuffle around a bit, but you can just lift the stuck rim with your thumb and push it forward into the chamber no big deal. Overall: If you fallow these suggestions and implement them you will be a force to be reckoned with hunting, or in a high pressure/combat scenario. You are trading low capacity for a huge jump in range and bullet ability. In California the 7.62x54r is cleared for big game hunting. In WROL (without rule of law) situation the Mosin has the edge over almost any modern hunting rifle because of the stripper clips. Most hunting rifles of today have to be loaded a round at a time and many only have 4 round capacity. I don't care what some say load time is cut in half when using these pointers. I have timed various people (yes even nutinfancy) loading a round at a time and I can cut his average time in half using a stripper clip. And I can do it sitting, standing or laying down. I have also gotten good using my weak hand to load.

I ordered two sets of the Mosin Nagant stripper clips and tested them with good ammo on two different rifles. Neither rifle would feed from them. The clips were made of cheap Chinese metal and the bullets fed into them rather stiffly, but when inserted in the gun, nothing would budge. Requested and received a fast refund and Amazon took care of return shipping. Thanks Amazon. But I would not recommend these stripper clips. Look fro some made with better metals. Also, some reviewers have said ignore the negative comments, implying that those who posted them are amateurs. I have been around guns all my life, and have torn down and rebuilt every gun I own several times. These strippers do not fit the two rifles I own. I have two other rifles that use stripper clips and I can easily load these using the strippers I bought for them. I have two Mosin Nagants, neither of which would load with these strippers. I tried 10 of them in two rifles. I would think that at least one of them would have worked, but they did not. They are of poor quality and manufacture.

Loading individual rounds into a Mosin sucks. There is a lot of room inside the action for rounds to shift, they can go in at funny angles and you have to pull them back out, its tedious and annoying. After a long range day my thumb is usually sore and raw form rubbing against the receiver parts while pushing rounds in. I wanted a good solution and these stripper clips provided that. These stripper clips work very well. Rounds go in the clips easily, the clips fit firmly in the receiver, and they load the rifle without much hassle. It obviously takes some force to get the rounds into the rifle, but that's true of all Mosins, if you want the rounds to slide right in get a Mauser rifle. The clips hold up well to multiple reloads, the little tabs on the bottoms are good springy steel and hold their shape well. I've run about 8-10 loads through one of the clips and its held up so far. They also increase reload speed a great deal, could prove useful should the zombies finally come. I especially like how well they fit in surplus Soviet Mosin ammo pouches, I got 4 in each pouch comfortably. Overall I'm happy with the product, they work as they should and make life a lot easier at the range. +5 stars for product quality and function, as well as fast shipping and good price

These are the first stripper clips I have ever had my hands on. When I first saw the clips I thought to myself, you get what you pay for. These clips are made of what looks to be very thin steel similar to what you see in interior construction with steel framing for dry wall. I guess there are brass clips that are much nicer and may be easier to use. You might have to do a small amount of bending, I was able to do it with my hands, for the bullets to fit correctly into the clips. The bullets were a little loose in a couple of the clips, so I just bent the clip to make it a tighter fit on the bullets. After I loaded the clip and placed it into the slot near above and near the rear of the internal mag of my Mosin Nagant, I was very surprised at how easily I was able to push the bullets down into the mag. There are some videos on youtube that show you how to use these clips. These things are simply made and lack style, but are fully functional for my M91/30 1922 Mosin Nagant.

I unwrapped the clips, put the cartridges in and tested them out today. They all fit, work, and eject properly. Lightweight, durable, and the little leaf springs on each end will keep the cartridges from falling out without interfering with the product's function. The leading edge of the metal is folded over to keep it from scratching your gun or cutting your hand. The price is right, too. Now, a note to those reviewers complaining about the clips not working: please take the time to learn how to use the product properly before slandering someone's business. These aren't like detachable magazines; you don't just shove rod A into slot B until it shoots. You've got to learn to use them. There's a trick to loading the cartridges into the clip so the rims overlap properly, and a trick to loading the magazine itself from the clip. They don't function like Mauser clips either. You can find videos on youtube showing you how to do it. That said, the product could stand to provide a little instructional literature in the packaging, I suppose.

I bought these despite having my doubts after reading the reviews. They work but you have to FORCE them in the bolt slot and they FORCE the bullets into the gun because of how tight the clips hold the bullets when put in the slot on the bolt. (And I mean really really force the bullets into the gun I can do it once before my fingers and killing me and my brother can do it a few times but it's so bad everyone still just loads it round by round) but on the bright side the more you use them the more they're force to the correct size and do get a little better. Only giving them 3 stars because it technically does what it's supposed to even if it's the worst stipper clips I've ever used.

This review is for these Mosin Nagant M44 M91/30 stripper clips. The Amazon advertisement says that "Fits models 9130, M38 and M44." I purchased these for my Mosin Nagant M91/30. All of them are too wide and insert VERY snuggly into the M91/30, if they are empty. However, if cartridges are installed into the clips, this widens the clips even further, making it almost impossible to insert into the rifle, unless you want to hammer it in, and get it stuck. All five of them that I received are like this. On attempting to return these, apparently the seller doesn't do returns. So I'm left with pieces of stainless steel scrap metal. On looking at the Amazon reviews for these, in order of recent purchases, it looks like they have manufacturing issues. Out of 10 reviews (from Sept 16th to Dec 9th 2022), 9 reviewers gave 1 star, mentioning there were fit issues, mostly being too tight. And their were more 1 and 2 star reviews beyond/earlier than that as well, saying the same thing. On purchasing these clips from another vendor, those clips work just fine. So it wasn't the the rifle.

They do what they are supposed to do and they do it well. I haven’t had any problems with these. I haven’t noticed any sharp edges like some people are mentioning. Only problem I had with mine is that they are a tight fit when trying to insert the clip into the holding notch on the rifle. It tends to have some resistance at first but after some use it is not a problem.
