Table Thai Massage: 3 Hours of Techniques to Radically Transform Your Massage Kindle Edition

I purchased the Kindle version of the book. It has very detailed instructions and it's nice to have some links to YouTube videos that demo the techniques. (Shai's YouTube channel is another great resource not to be missed!) I really like that with every technique there is a section on the giver and the receiver's safety and comfort. Truly reinforces the metta aspect of Thai massage and is a much needed message for both professional and amateur massage therapists to embody. The worksheets and customized massage sheets are wonderful tools to learn to give massages that are custom tailored to both giver, receiver and circumstances. These really help you become familiar with your "toolbelt" - don't skip these! The flow sheets w/ space for notes are great to jot reminders and other things (did you know you can do this on kindle? I didn't!) and make it easier to practice the basic flows without having to flip through the whole book once you are somewhat familiar with the different techniques.

I was a little concerned about the odds of learning how to do Thai massage by reading a book, but I was very surprised...and exceptionally pleased...at the quality and effectiveness of this book. Very informative, very helpful and I felt like the author was so supportive and genuine in his desire to help others who wanted to learn the fine art of massage. Highly recommend.

Shai's love for the material, his care about all the benefits and connections accessible through this work, and his deep connection with this amazing practice shine through every page of this book. The explications are clear, precise, encouraging and inspiring. Learning from this book really feels like having a kind, patient teacher by your side. There is a good amount of detail here, but it never feels overwhelming. You will feel enabled and emboldened to share this practice, offering healing to others and receiving it yourself, as well, in the process. I can't imagine a better guide through this discovery than Shai Plonski.

This book is easy to follow whether thai massage is brand new for you or you have been practicing for a while. Shai's love for thai massage and sharing what he knows really shines through. I have taken trainings with Shai before and the book makes you feel like he is right by your side encouraging you, just as he does in person. You will feel confident in your skills that you learn from this wonderful book. I highly recommend to everyone that has an interest in thai massage, massage, body work, and yoga. Thanks Shai for sharing your wisdom!!

This guide teaches the very basic techniques of table Thai massage, all the way to the most advanced techniques: how to hold your intentions and your mind, giving a massage from a place that not only benefits the person you are massaging, but you as well. With very straightforward and easy to follow photos, this book demonstrates maneuvers that will benefit anyone’s practice, no matter where you are in the process of learning. There’s also the added benefit of the online resources offered by Shai to deepen the learning further.

This is an awesome book. I have had the pleasure to take Thai massage classes with Shai in Connecticut, and it was a wonderful experience. This book goes even deeper, showing me how to take the concepts and use them in my professional life as a LMT. There are tons of beautiful techniques and so much information. This book is beautifully put together and should be part of everyone’s library! Thank you Shai for being an excellent and generous teacher!

If this were just a how-to manual for Thai massage, it would be the best. But the author also provides his years of experience in the 'For their safety and comfort' and 'for your safety and comfort' sections of each technique, as well as practical advice in the section III. Read it and follow it, and you can't go wrong.

There are way better books out there! Talk ab a waste of time!

Shai is a great master os Thai Yoga massage and his table massage book demonstrates the diversity of the massage using a table rather than the floor.

Very comply...sturdy..storing is a problem...suits permanent set-up..
