Kills POA Annua on Bermuda grass
I applied Negate to my Bermuda grass front yard two times last Fall. One in September & I application in November. I meant to do another application in January 2025 but the weather wasn’t good. My lawn looks great this Spring. I get compliments from my neighbors who have lawn service. I had a ton of POA annua. I still have a little bit but I would say 85% less from last year. This really works!! I will be doing more applications this Fall again as several of my neighbors have a ton of POA Annua so I’m exposed from their lawns.

Negate 37WG Herbicide - Goodbye Poa Annua
Poa Annua thought it could invade my yard like it owned the place. It was wrong.Armed with just 1/2 teaspoon of Negate 37WG (shoutout to Patrick from Alabama for the tip), I mixed up my weed-fighting potion like a backyard chemist. Sprayed it on, stepped back, and waited.Four days later, the Poa Annua looked like it had received a strongly worded letter from Mother Nature herself. Brown, crispy, and officially evicted. This stuff is no joke—tiny dose, big results. If you’re tired of uninvited weeds crashing your lawn party, Negate 37WG is the bouncer you need.

Negate 37 WD Herbicide
Used Negate 37 WD Herbicide on annual bluegrass in a hybrid Bermuda lawn. Two applications 2 weeks apart were needed in the areas where the annual bluegrass was thickest. One application was needed in other areas. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to mix the entire container at one time, and unless you have a large area to spray you end up with some leftover herbicide after four weeks. Tried two applications of Image for Nutsedge prior to this. This only killed some of the annual bluegrass. Applied the first application of Negate 37 WD March 19, 2024 and the second application two weeks later. We had no rain for 3 days after the first application, and no rain for 2 days after the second application. There is no evidence of any damage to the hybrid Bermuda grass. Would recommend this product.

Verified Purchase - Victory over Poa Annua infestation this year! TifGrand Bermuda
I was skeptical. I was desperate. Poa laughed at my Barricade applications for the past few years. This year, nearly 1/3rd of my TifGrand Bermuda lawn was green - but from Poa Annua.I'm a regular homeowner, with an interest in having a nice lawn (unlike my neighbors), but I had to get rid of this Poa in the same way that Bill Murray had to get rid of that gopher in the Caddy Shack movie.Working with a high-powered product such as Negate made me worried about chemicals and chemical exposure. I really couldn't tell how to use this stuff, but I read a lot online. Here's what I did:Purchased this Negate. Purchased a mask (plenty of those around now), wore pvc gloves and eye protection. Also purchased a 2 Gal Dewalt brand garden sprayer from the orange box store (I used the red, medium spray tip). From an empty 1 gal. plastic milk jug, I poured the entire bottle of powdered Negate into this milk jug. I then, filled the jug up with water, maybe 3/4 full. Put the cap on the jug, thumb on the cap and shook vigorously for a few minutes. I really don't know the whole precise way of doing it, but anway. . . Next, I took a 16 oz Dsani water bottle, drank the water, then cut it in half. With a graduated cylinder as a reference measure, I poured 3 oz of water into this cut-in-half water bottle and marked a line on the water bottle with a sharpie and disgarded the water. I shook the milk jug with Negate mixture in it, again, then carefully poured 3 oz into this half water bottle. I poured the 3 oz of mixture into the garden sprayer, then filled the sprayer with 1 gal of water.I sprayed my infested area all over, not just a spot treatment, but all over the area, maybe 1,000 sq feet, at the most. After one week, I really did not see any change in the Poa. I took the milk jug with the Negate mixture that I prepared on the previous week and shook it again, and, this time, went up to a guess of about 4 ounces of Negate, then poured it into the sprayer, added a gallon of water and tried again over the same area. Five days later, I saw strong signs of my Poa Annua dying. I really wanted to see ressults in days, but it took a while. Finally, I mowed my lawn and the Poa is not coming back! Success! Yes, the temps were warming up and that kills Poa, too, but this knocked it out. My Poa is on the cool, shady, wet side of my house, but it's gone! The best part is that I did not see any evidence of damage to my TifGrand Bermuda and the Poa is not coming back.Overall, I will buy again, next year, if needed.I probably used too much of this product, in other words, it probably needed to be diluted a bit more, but hey, it worked!I took the left over Negate mixture to share with a friend who also had a Poa problem because of our cool, wet Spring.Sorry, I wish I had some before and after photos.

Negate Works - Kills Poa Annua and Other Weeds
Negate is expensive, but the 1.5 oz bottle covers 1 acre. Refer to attached photo (taken on March 21 in North Alabama). Wear long pants, boots, a K95 mask, gloves, and eye protection. Negate is a dry powder, made of two herbicides. I shook the Negate bottle well before opening it. I filled a 1-pint plastic bottle half-full with warm water and added 1/2 teaspoon of Negate; shake mixture for a full 5 minutes. Next, half-fill a 2-gallon sprayer bottle with warm water. Add Negate mixture and mix well. Add warm water to fill tank to the 2-gallon mark. Add 0.64 ounce Southern Ag Nonionic Surfactant and 2 ounces of Lazer Blue Dye. Mix well. The 2-gallon sprayer bottle will cover 2000 square feet. Spray grass in rows in one motion. Do not cover any area of grass more than once. In 3 or 4 days, you will start seeing results. The attached picture was taken 7 to 10 days after the application. You can see streaks of poa annua in the yard that I missed. Negate works and does not harm Zoysia or bermuda. The area next to the sidewalk is Zorro Zoysia. The area next to the driveway is mostly bermuda.
