Wow! I can't believe these have almost doubled in price since I last bought them. I love the quality, and so easy to use. Not sure why there are complaints here as I had no problem with any of it. I've run out of them and needed to buy more. Sadly they are now out of my price range and I will have to try something cheaper. I can only hope they will perform as well as this. Sony has always made excellent products.

It's early days yet but I still feel compelled to give a 5 star review. I burned music onto a few of these using my laptop computer and they work fine no problems. The sound quality though not the best is really very good. They even play back in 15 year old Sony Boombox and in my 2011 Mini Cooper- I've used various brands over the years and the discs that have given the best sound is the Verbatim gold and the Maxell gold audio only cd-r. People will always have different results depending on what type of burner is used. Sometimes we simply get a bad batch. CD deck burners are very temperamental therefore, for best results it's best to stick with your manufacturer's recommended brand as not all cd.'s are compatible with your machine. Decks tend to burn differently from computers. This will remain a debatable subject , these might be great to some ( like myself ) while some Will think they are junk!!

My main go to for blank music CD's is Maxell but every once in a while, I like to add a color one in the mix like they do with color vinyl records. There plenty of space to write the information I need on there unlike the Verbatim blanks CD's. FYI for the darker colored CD"s I would suggest using a silver metallic Sharpee!

The sound quality is the same as any other blank cdrs. Digital is Digital. I test my mixes on cheap bottom of the barrel blanks (verbatim crap you can literally see through) When I finish a project I burn it to one of these as they are sturdy. For me,the verbatim trash only has to live for about an hour for testing. These Sony blanks should last for a long time if properly taken care of. 15 burns and no coasters. I burn them at slow speeds but that may not be necessary.

These are good discs to make recordings for your cd player. Too bad they are discontinued.

Solid and works as it should

I have been buying Sony CDR's for years as they always burn with no problems. Last week I bought another pack. When they arrived they were coloured discs and the packaging was minimal. I tried out 3 different discs using different music and they all jumped from the first track. Either Sony have gone downhill or I'm being sold poor imitations! Needless to say I'm returning for a refund.

I love these discs, Sony doesn't manufacture them anymore so Amazon marketplace sellers are pretty much the only place you can get them. I love the colours (pastel-like purple, a goldy-type yellow, etc.). They are good quality too.
