Harbor Breeze Merrimack II 52-in Matte Bronze LED Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fan with Light Kit (5-Blade)

Items arrived on time, as described, and in near perfect condition. I was really sweating this purchase because I needed two of these fans, couldn't find them locally, and read some reviews mentioning broken glass globes. My globes were not broken, despite being shipped over the post-Thanksgiving weekend with the boxes showing some signs of rough treatment. Things inside rattled like broken glass, but it was other parts. I mention this because some of the blades on the dark brown side had minor scuffs, maybe due to a bit of shifting around inside the box? Not an issue for me, and overall, parts were well packed and wrapped. I needed two fans for an enclosed, but uninsulated AZ room, that has huge windows on the east side - very hot in summer. Only time will tell how these fans will hold up and how heat will affect the lamination of the blades. There is a limited lifetime warranty that excludes any glass or change in plated finishes (including peeling). I did not read every review, but a 5-star from early 2020, leads me to believe that most of these fans have been working well, some for almost 4 years. I am currently very pleased with their visual appeal and performance for the price. They kind of have that industrial look, but softer, due to bronze finish and enclosed bulbs. I would agree that the bronze color is dark, like a dark chocolate brown, but not black. The bubble glass shade was the main selling point for me. I like the Edison bulb look, but bare bulb glare is hard on my eyes. As concerns light output: Each fan includes three LED 5.5 W bulbs with a tapered (flame-look) design, and a B11 screw-in base. I had a professional electrician install my fans, and I made sure to observe how to install bulbs and globe, should I ever need to replace a bulb. He did say it could be a bit tricky. He pointed out to be sure and properly align the fan speed pull-chain through it's (off center) hole in the globe, so that it hangs straight down with no rubbing/resistance. My electrician encountered no difficulties or problems installing the fans, and both are operating perfectly for now. The manual states that a small amount of "wobble" is normal and should not be considered a defect. I assisted the electrician by affixing the fan blades to the blade arms. Should I ever want to flip sides, I can attest that this is easy to do. I did not see any mention of a remote in the description - maybe this has since been corrected? I did not expect, nor did I receive any remotes. I am 5"4" tall and can literally reach up and touch the bottom of the glass globes, so the pull chains (and on/off wall switches) are fine for my purposes. I can also see the fan direction switch quite easily just by looking up. It is set to snowflake/winter. The snowflake and sun icons are a nice feature for determining seasonal fan direction. Ceiling fans are supposed to have an average life of 10 years, so I hope these will last that long or longer. I will adjust review if needed. My only complaint is that the fans look classier than the AZ room itself - I have to get working on that.

I own at least 20 of these fans in some of my rentals and they are awesome! Great coastal look. Love the remote free option. Easy assemble. High quality. Amazon cheaper than Lowe’s!

We remodeled at our last home and had a screened porch that I had two of these fans installed. They did a good job of moving air on the hot,humid days when there was no natural air movement. They were pretty quiet and the dimmable light fixtures provided plenty of light for whatever mood. They kind of have a nautical look with the bubbled glass covers. We liked them that much,I installed the 7 years later onto the covered porch at our next home.

We have this fan in every room and outside on the patio. We love the look and have enjoyed the fans. One problem is that the light in the fan is my only light source in my office and the yellow light is not bright enough. Searching for brighter bulbs

The media could not be loaded.  We installed these Harbor Breeze ceiling fans on our back porch. Absolutely love the look! We had to purchase 2 18" down rods. Easy to install, no wobble and they put out a good breeze.

The fan is very easy to install and looks good as well. They are reasonably quiet, have nice looking lamps that work really well with the 'blown' glass look of the fixture. The only hit I give this unit is the motor is a bit large, forcing me to use the flush mount instead of the supplied down rod. I can say that this is a bit unusual as I ordered another set of fans that look nearly the same, but of course my wife pointed out that it wasn't exactly what she wanted. I installed that other, very similar fan with a down rod and had no problem with head clearance. Once notified of my error, I ordered these fans to correct my foul and found that when I was finished, with the install the whole unit was uncomfortably close to my head, forcing me to use the supplied flush mount. The only real difference between the fan types: on the fan your looking at via Amazon, the motor is about 3 inched deeper and the fixture another 3 or so as well: that half foot just made the whole thing feel too close.I actually purchased three, but they are new to me so I have no clue on longevity, they are mounted in a screened in porch.

My husband is pretty handy! He bought a longer rod, painted it and hung it in the loft. Immediately, I purchased another one for the living room. I'm anxiously waiting for that one. Love the amber colored lights that came with it. It's makes a beautiful glow at night.
