This dryer door catch and latch kit fit our dryer perfectly and fixed the door not closing issue right away. We had a Whirlpool dryer although it fits other dryer models as well. Before ordering, take a clear photo of your model number, serial number, and the old parts, then measure everything with a ruler in the picture so you can compare. A lot of dryer models look almost identical, so double checking saves hassle. It comes as a two pack, which is nice because you have a spare in case you snap one during install. The job took about 20 minutes once we figured it out. You have to unscrew a couple panels on the door first to get to the old latch, but it is totally doable with just a screwdriver. Pro tip: while the door is apart, clean out all the lint and dust with warm soapy water and a plastic brush. It makes a huge difference and your dryer looks brand new inside. Solid replacement part, works great, and way cheaper than calling a repair person!

Exactly the part I needed. I've had to replace this part twice on my dryer. Easy to replace and seems to be the same quality as the original part. I wish that they were more durable but that has more to do with the dryer design than this part. I only have two issues. One is that this time the clip was much too tight. When you closed the dryer it would not open again. I fixed it by just squeezing the male part of the latch with pliers to make it fit better. The second issue is that this is the second time I've replaced this part. It's as sturdy as the original but if the dryer door loosens up even a little bit it no longer lines up with the latch. If you close it without noticing it will break these cheap plastic latches. It seems like the replacement part should be a little beefier or a design that compensate for this problem.

I have a Maytag Epic Z dryer. So if you’re not sure if it’ll be a perfect replacement/fit. You have no need to worry… However the hinge (for drier) for the clip (for door) that it comes with are not the right fit for this specific dry. But the clip will work.

Maytag dryer door stopped latching after 5 years, this was a perfect replacement and was less money than the manufacturer. Easy to install, YouTube has many videos to watch on replacing this latch.

I was having an issue with my dryer door not staying shut! I came on here and was happy to find this . It works great and my dryer door is actually staying closed! I was having to lodge a pole up against my dryer door to keep it shut! It was an easy install I was able to do it myself! It pops right in after removing the old one. It feel’s quality and it is made of plastic and the metal prong which is exactly what was on my dryer it is the same thing! Thankfully I was able to find this and it is working great !

Ne conviens pas à la sécheuse même si la marque était dans la liste! On a dû bricoler pour l'installer, de plus la qualité est moindre.
