I've been playing tabletop games for a long time and have played games with a lot of systems. Flight of Fantasy's System for their Star Wars games has quickly become one of my favorites. This little book is a great addition to the game.I was a little concerned at first about the size of the book as the front and back cover combined make up about half of the overall thickness of the book, but the content is more than sufficient.The new playable species (Chiss, Duros, and Toydarians) are good choices overall though a minor nitpick would be that there are only three new species the Duros are one of them considering that they are supposed to be included in the Age of Rebellion book making them a little redundant, but it is nice to be able to access them if you have no intention of getting AoR and they do fit with the books theme.For the new specialization trees My favorite is the big game hunter and can see it getting a lot of use by players, but all of them have uses and fit niches not currently in the game. again my only complaint would be the fact that the driver, like the Duros, is going to be in AoR.This book also brings in a new game feature Signature Abilities. these abilities are powerful, but not broken they can change the flow of a game, but they are only usable once per session meaning that the will be kept in reserve for dire straights. these seem intresting enough that I look foward to see how the other careers handle them.The new equipment, vehichles, and enemies are also something that will see a lot of use. the most important of these new toys is the triumphant return of a ship that was removed form the beta of Edge: the 720 light freighter also lovingly known as the majestic space turtle.In addition to all of this there is a sizable chunk of back ground content that helps players and GMs alike better understand the idea behind playing an explorer. giving various ideas of how to really involve them in an adventure. With all of these things I would almost call it a required book for Edge.

Great book, hope the new publisher starters cranking out stuff as the old FFG stuff is drying up quick.

It's a short book and could really use some monsters to hunt, but other than that it brings some cool content and makes the explorer a little easier to play.

This is a great resource for players of Explorer characters and especially for giving GMs great ideas on how to integrate more explorer-centric adventures for their campaigns. It's also helpful for GMing in genral as it goes into detail on general story development that easily benefits PCs of all careers. Fantasy Flight really knocked it out of the park with this splat and I'm glad I got it. Vendor shipped it safely and it arrived in perfect condition.

My Edge of the Empire group purchased this to add depth to our game. We have only been running published games, but this book provides additional reference material for Explorers. After scanning through the book, a couple of my players decided to re-roll their characters to take advantage of the expanded options.

Fantasy Flight does a good job, and this book is no exception. It has some good equipment, 3 races and some game ideas. I have enjoyed it, and know it expands the game for my group.

FF is doing a great job with the Star Wars Universe. This book expands EotE in great style. This is a must buy for GMs and Players of EotE.

Great art, great writing, very well organized and designed. I like the races and talent trees in this one. Nice. Can't wait to play!
