White Whine: A Study of First-World Problems

I purchased this as a gift last Christmas for my uncle. He has been been doing rather well financially due to hard work, but with wealth comes certain...um...changes. The moment he stated or rather complained that his polo socks were not folded so that the logos were on opposing sides, I knew this would be the gift for him. He loved it so much that his friends, who have also turned into slightly snobby but cool guys, all bought the book. They now follow on twitter and I get to call them out every time they complain about something ridiculous like how the Bose headphones in their Mercedes won't work. This really is a hilarious book and helped me create several new White Whine fans.

Sometimes you cringe even while you are laughing! I first bought this as a Christmas present for my stepdad. Well, he almost dind't get it, because my daughter and I started browsing it before we wrapped it, and just like falling over ourselves laughing. So I wrapped that one up (before it didn't look new anymore) and came online and bought another one just for me! I'd read it late at night, and laying in bed just howling with laughter, I'm so glad the neighbors are far enough away I didn't wake them!

I mostly bought this to support the website of the same name. That said, the book doesn't add much value to the website. I think that the whines themselves stand up, but Streeter has seen fit to write an introduction to each of the groupings of whines.

I couldn't put this book down when I started reading it last weekend. It made me feel kind of embarrassed that I complain about a lot of the things mentioned in "White Whine" often, but it gave me a great laugh nonetheless. I'm so glad I caught an interview with Streeter on SiriusXM one day and preordered this book!

I love Streeter, knowing that my problems are way more significant than the Whiners is wonderful. I shall never complain about warm wine or cleaning before the cleaners again!!! (note overuse of !!! there!)Seriously, his collection pokes a stick at my funny bone every time, reminding me it's a privilege to live in a first world world.

This book has been a great entertainment in just how funny our society is in terms of the problems we are faced with on a daily basis and people that love to "whine" about them. If you have not purchased the book or have never seen any of his posts online definitely check it out. You'd love the book!!

picked up this book based on the title...found it very tongue in cheek, full of insightful themes...identify with that size 00 girl/child...those on leisure vacations with private chef/overwater resort suite sipping native coconut water...I would say this author could expand nationalities as I'm sure there is probably whine in every part of the world.

It's a light and fun read. The section are short which makes this book perfect for short reads and then putting it away until you feel like some White Whine again.

A very funny book! The author descriptively describes his experiences of many first world problems. I'd recommend for someone who complains a lot about everyday life!
