I used this brand for years . Does the job. I was buying Pool Shock. Yes, it's just chemicals. The one Star haters even have a problem with it.I try all types of brand of shock and never had a problem with any of them... One of the brands I have used a lot without a problem. In my opinion if it is not working for you. YOU are doing it wrong. So many factors are involved to have the shock work. Water hardness , PH , how bad the water is in the first place .... I test the water myself but most pool stores will test it for you for FREE. This is just one example of many. Every Amazon has at least one bad review. I now do a review search online as well as Amazon reviews. I take them with a grain of salt. Then make my decision. Also I now If I like an item I got on Amazon I go out of my way to write a review and give my opinion on the 1 star rating...

This price is great compared to the pool supply store.

I’ve used shock from a couple of pool stores and have had algae issues, green and pink. I’ve used this product for the last 3 years and have had no algae issues. I’m sold!!!!

Clorox ExtraBlue 6-1 is good and is more granular. Clorox 4-1 is like powder and blows when disbursing. It will get in your eyes, nose, and mouth unless you have a respirator and airtight goggles.

This is the best shock on the market. I especially like it since one bag works for 12,000 gallons and other shocks only work for 10,000 gallons. I have a 33,000 gallon pools and i can get by with 3 bags instead of 4 with the other shocks. Also it dissolves when it hits the water where other shocks have to be dissolved in a bucket before broadcasting. A bucket of water is heavy and I’m old. The prices are stupid high. Check around, not everyone is gouging customers. I’ve found some for half the price on Amazon, but sometimes here is the only place its available. Hopefully by next year the chlorine companies will be back online and price will go back to normal, but I doubt it.

These Clorox tabs are the only disinfectant agent we have used in our pool for years, because they are highly effective in killing pathogens and algae. We use them in our chlorine tab dispenser, and also put them in a floating "rubber duck" type tab dispenser. They're easy to use, and come in a secure container that keeps the chlorine smell from permeating our garage.

Been using this product for years in my salt pool.. Works great.
