Parents beware this is a flawed product from concept to execution
Let me preface all of this by saying that I'm a product designer. I've spend the past decade producing entertainment hardware and software for consumers, so I understand that you don't always get it right. In baseball terms, not every product is a home run. But this product is a complete swing and a miss. It's a product that its targeted age group has a difficult time using. It's hardware and software combo doesn't always work, which you expect would, given the $150 startup cost. And lastly, the whole product concept is flawed.First, it was a Christmas present that wasn't able to be played with until January because a software bug was introduced prior to the holiday that essentially broke the app. That's the first thing to understand. Despite all the fancy packaging, this is literally a projector for an iPad. That's all it is. You download their app and you pair your iPad with the projector using a wi-fi signal that it outputs, similar to bluetooth. Their President issued an apology to parents over Facebook and offered a free story to consumers who contacted Customer Support. OK fine.Got it running Jan 7. Once paired, you can use the app to have their device project your photos, your videos, or you can use the app's reader software for the Disney books. The picture quality outputted by the the projector is HORRIBLE. I tried moving it closer to the wall, away from the wall, force-turning the lens thinking you could adjust the focus. Nope, you get what you get. So here's the big product flaw --- you have a projector outputting a terrible picture onto your wall and right next to it sits your bright, beautiful, hi-resolution iPad. Guess what my daughter did? She picked up the iPad and started watching the stories from that!!!Did I just spent $150 on a poor-quality projector that my 3-year-old doesn't pay attention to because she was smart enough to figure out within 5 minutes that the user experience is better when watched on the actual iPad??? Yep. Well there's the basic product flaw right there! It's also somewhat laughable that it's a bedtime product too. So, I'm supposed to leave an iPad in my child's room??? Yeah, that's not happening. The other issue is with the Princess discs/readers/trophies, whatever you want to call them. You're supposed to use these things to initiate the download of the story and then later to switch between stores. You sit the Princess on your iPad and it essentially replicates a multi-touch that acts like a code. The code says, "hey this is the story I want you to play". Sometimes they work. Sometimes they don't. You can bypass them all together by touching a few buttons on the app. But the sequence of things to touch isn't intuitive for a child to follow. The packaging shows the princess sitting on the projector. Don't be fooled! All that does is light the Princess up.This is just a bad consumer product. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Pretty much not worth the money
Pretty much not worth the money. Stuck with it now as it was purchased as a gift for Christmas so the packaging was tossed out before it was discovered that it should be returned for a refund.

Giving Santa a bad reputation.
Garbage! Tried to connect it for my kid Christmas morning and it wouldn't down load the requipped content. The website said iPad user may have difficulties because they are upgrading. Good idea upgrading over Christmas! You really helped make my daughters Christmas special. Thanks!

GARBAGE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! !!!!!!!!
This was garbage it never worked properly. The app is always crashing, the picture is very blurry and the bulb us so dim that even in a dark room it was hard to see. Even when they made an update for it it still crashed every time I tried to use it. I wish I could send it back but I live in the Bahamas.

I love the product and it's concept
I love the product and it's concept. One thing I will say is that I really expected the image to be much clearer then it is. It looks pretty blurry and there's no way to focus it. My daughter often looks at the iPad to see the image clearly, then back at the projection to see the movement/motion that is only shown when watching the projection.I'd suggest that they either improve the image quality or provide a way to focus the projector.
