Upgrade original Xbox hard drive with this cable.
Bought this cable to upgrade my original Xbox hard drive. This cable works perfect but the connectors are in the wrong spot for my purpose. The blue end should go into the motherboard but the other two connectors are too far away to hook the DVD drive in. You have to use the cable backwards and it works fine. I have not experienced any problems using it this way. I had to take time and find a good way to fold the cable once installed. At 36 inches there is a lot of slack. A 24 inch cable would have been a lot better but I couldn't find one.

Perfect
Bought this for a modded Xbox and it’s perfect. No weird cord folding, and the performance is lightning fast. Need to grab another one soon for future upgrades

Great for Xbox modders
Works perfectly in my classic Xbox loads up faster than the original 40 wire. Perfect for modders or just a simple I update. Was supposed to be a 24 but this will do for what I want.

Original XBOX compatible, unless you reorder and receive a different cable.
Upgraded my Original XBOX hard drive to SATA using an HDE PATA to SATA adapter and this cable.Upgrade was successful and the cable is working great. No complaints.I ordered a second one, from the same seller a few months later. It was a completely different cable manufacturer, color and packaging. It also did not detect my original xbox drive. Removing the able caused the cable to "split" down the middle. Not sure what happened, maybe a shipping problem, but oh well. Its only a cable right? I'll find another elsewhere.

Perfect for original Xbox
Wires is perfect for the original Xbox but you may have to fold it for a bit but there are not regrets pick it up

Won’t work with Original Xbox
The cable has the ide connectors spaced too close together. The cable is both excessively long and too short to reach multiple IDE devices. This will not work with the original xbox and is unfortunately useless to me. Doesn’t matter how long the cable is if the connectors are not properly spaced apart.
