Says 1 gallon capacity everywhere but 0.5 in the intial description. How much does it hold?

We will be happy to clear this confusion. This unit holds 1 gallon of water. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@HelenofTroy.com. Thank you.

Can you add salt water to this humidifier?

We will be happy to answer your inquiry. Please do not use salt water with this unit, as the salt will both accumulate on the nebulizer and the excess minerals in the water will create white dust.
