This can't be the same sundown.
Sundown really disappointed me with this one. The head unit is too powerful for these things. Tweeters just quit working and the crossovers shut down any time I get the volume over halfway I love Sundown subs salt amps but this overpriced and just doesn't do the job I dont care how much you think Sundown doesn't put out garbage but this is terrible. I thought they may not be sq but would get loud. 🤔 this is neither. Dont sound bad but if you roll down you windows you wont get loud enough to hear the radio

Tweeters will fade out when listening to loud
overall speakers sound good but my only complaint is like another person posted, the tweeters fade out if listening to loud music so all your left with is midbass no tweeter at all. Which really sucks. I would have expected a little more from a sundown product. There woofers are top quality and take a beating. Their component speakers suck in my opinion. So much that im going to hafta purchase something else.

Great midbass and smooth tweeters, flawed crossover
This component set looks great. Unfortunately, powering the set with over 100W, the tweeter protection circuit will come on. You really have to EQ down the tweeter or else you'll have the protection going off. It sucks because this happens at the volume where the set really comes alive. So you'll have great sound for a few minutes until the tweeter protection comes in. The crossovers suffer from inductor coupling, as well. The tweeters on this set are smooth and really easy to install. They have a silk dome and sound really clean. The mids require a ton of power, but have very clear midbass along with a smooth sound. The sound is almost clinical and lacks a bit of warmth, but I'd say these speakers are pretty smooth overall. If Sundown can fix the crossovers on the next revision, these would be amazing. As of now, these are an awesome set, but I advise running active and ditching the crossovers.

Great sound
Good sounding component speakers. Definitely brought a nice rich and full sound to my vehicle. Now I can hear the highs and the mids over the bass.
