Product Description From the creators of Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda comes Turbo, a hilarious "fun-fueled family adventure" (Bill Bregoli, CBS Radio News) that proves no dream is too big...and no dreamer too small. When an ordinary snail named Turbo acquires the power of super-speed, his life kicks into overdrive! With the help of a struggling taco stand owner and a streetwise snail crew, Turbo will attempt to race in the Indy 500 and make all their dreams come true.Bonus Content:Sneak PeekWorld of DreamWorks Animation]]> .com Turbo: Turbo dreams of being the greatest racer in the world and competing in the Indy 500. His obsession with speed has made him an outsider in the slow and cautious snail community. After a freak accident gives him incredible speed, Turbo embarks on an extraordinary journey to achieve the impossible. Chet: Chet is Turbo’s older brother and polar opposite. Overly cautious and always practical, Chet is the realist to Turbo’s dreamer. Chet’s number one priority is to keep his brother safe – and Turbo is his biggest challenge at succeeding in that task! Tito: Tito, like Turbo, is a dreamer. Turbo and his older brother Angelo run a taco stand they call Dos Bros Tacos. Tito is forever coming up with misplaced schemes to draw attention to their struggling business. When Turbo zooms into Tito’s life at 200mph, Tito is inspired, and the two kindred spirits head off to chase an incredible dream.Angelo: Angelo is the older and more level-headed half of Dos Bros Tacos. Like Chet, Angelo is realistic about his station in life and has to put up with a brother whose goals seem evasive, if not downright delusional. Guy Gagne: Guy is a French-Canadian race car driver and five-time Indy 500 champ. Guy comes across as an eccentric yet charismatic charmer, but he’s really a competitive egomaniac who will do anything to win. He’s all speed, no heart. Whiplash: Before Turbo arrived on the scene, Whiplash was the charismatic leader and reigning champ of the Racing Snails. To be part of Whiplash’s crew you must earn his respect…and unless you’ve won his respect, you’ll never see the real Whiplash -- a warm, jovial guy who treats his crew like family. Smoove Move: A super-cool low rider, Smoove has a unique perspective on even the craziest twists and turns triggered by Turbo’s adventures.Skidmark: A master of trash talk, Skidmark is Whiplash’s feisty #2. For Skidmark, no stunt is successful if it doesn’t end with an epic wipeout. Burn: Though she’s the only female snail in the group of testosterone-fueled racing snails, Burn has no trouble holding her own. Sly and sassy, Burn hides her soft side under a hard outer shell. White Shadow: Full of false bravado and real laughs, White Shadow considers himself to be “fast, like a shadow” – ignoring the fact that shadows aren’t inherently fast.

The animation is vibrant and lively, capturing the essence of Turbo's extraordinary journey. The characters are endearing, and Turbo's determination to defy his slow nature adds a touch of humor and inspiration. The racing sequences are visually exciting and bring a sense of thrill to the movie. The voice cast, including Ryan Reynolds as Turbo, delivers performances that enhance the characters' personalities and make them relatable. The film strikes a balance between humor for both kids and adults, making it an enjoyable family watch. While "Turbo" may not reinvent the animated movie genre, its heartwarming message about embracing one's uniqueness and pursuing dreams adds depth to the narrative. Overall, "Turbo" is a fun and uplifting adventure that will leave you cheering for a snail with a need for speed.

Very Heartwarming, Despite Telegraphed Ending
I don’t think any adult watching Turbo couldn’t have told you the ending after about fifteen minutes. But sometimes in film, that’s not a bad thing. Turbo combines the classic story of wanting to be something (in this case a racing champion) with a seemingly insurmountable obstacle (the fact that the main character is a snail) with dual family elements (uncle-nephew, and the family that owns a struggling taco stand) in a story that ultimately illustrates what happens when somebody believes in you. As a story it’s very effective.I also found myself laughing out loud at some of the jokes such as the “I have a life” line and the clever use of the snail races. So I don’t think adults would be out of place in watching Turbo without their kids present. I can also appreciate the fact that they haven’t gone sequel happy because they told a really nice story within the ninety to hundred minutes they had and + he did compete in the most famous race there is where do you go from there?Turbo shows viewers that sometimes a simple story with heart is all you need.
