Respectable competitor to Ram Mounts
Ram Mounts is well known for its broad line of mounting hardware. Arkon is also well known for a different kind of mounting hardware, but is invading Ram Mounts’ space with this line. This product costs substantially less than its Ram Mounts variant. The designs are different, but serve the same purpose. My Ram Mounts version has a smooth finish, the Arkon is matte. Arkon’s line seems more complete with regard to photographers and videographers. I’m impressed so far. As I use it more, I’ll revise this review is my opinion changes.Jerry

A touch bulkier than Ram
Solid product at a reasonable price. Bought 3 of these, and keeping all three. Compared to Ram, they are just a touch bulkier, but the function is all the same. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend these or buy them again.

Mounted on FJR1300 with phone mount. This arm isn't long enough and has enough friction to minimize the mounts total road induced vibration. So far very happy.

Sturdy
It is a little bulky compared to the RAM products, but it is very sturdy so I bought a second one.
