Uniden DWX337 DECT 6.0 Cordless Waterproof/Rugged Accessory Handset

We've had several Uniden phones over the years and for the most part they've been pretty good. The batteries wear out after a couple of years and the charging bases have an issue with the connection if dirty. HOWEVER If you have any issue with a product and need any assistance YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK! These guys are about the worst customer service company I have ever dealt with. So, If you are fortunate enough to get a phone with no issues you are fine. If you have a problem? You are on your own. Just throw it away and get another one.

I love the phone, and can take it outside when the kids are in the pool without having to worry about it getting wet. It works great, and for some reason, Uniden phones are the only brand that work in my house. I had my last Unidens for almost 10 years, so I'm hoping this one will be just as good. I like that you can put the names in the phone book on one phone and they are then on all your compatible phones without having to do anything else. The only down side to these phones is there is no answering machine on either of the models that I bought (two of this model and one with the yellow base), and the ringer on the phones could stand to be a bit louder. Even when turned up to the loudest setting, I have a problem hearing it.

This phone is a very good rugged phone, perfect for home or shop. Very good range, very good voice quality and very good battery life. I would have given this a perfect 5 star rating if the main base, the one that plugs into the phone jack, had the capability to hang on wall jack, but it does not. This means you need to place the base on a table or shelf and run a phone cord to the jack. Either way it still needs power nearby but that is true of any cordless base, either transmitting or charging unit. Other than that it's a great phone.

The phone looks to be in perfect condition. It was supposed to come with a new battery. The battery will not charge over one bar. I put a new battery in the phone but it will not pair with my base. It was still paired to a base. I have followed all the directions I can find online as well as looking up a manual on line. I really need a water proof phone and have been happy with this model but this is really disappointing

I used to own these type(older model) when growing up and they were amazing. So since I broke my old uniden I was like oh I didn't know they made these anymore and was like jackpot and ordered 2. Now the guy/gals were great and programed the phones for me. So out of box after charge ready to go. However I chosed refurbished. Normally do never had an issue but people constantly tell me they can't hear me I'm breaking up. I'm not sure if it's because the refurbished are messed up still and were sent accidently like this or they aren't made the same way as my old one.

This product would probably be great if you really needed your phone near water, but frankly, it's hard to hear through it, even with the volume turned all the way up. The speaker phone is hard to hear too. I did drop it in the tub once and it's working fine.It was terribly hard to follow the instructions to get it to pair up with the phone system. Once it did, it's worked like all the others, i.e. registering the phone #'s, etc.Like I said, get it if you have to, otherwise, just stick to a regular phone.

Ringer does not work all the time on this handset. It is setup to work with the base station. I keep it in its cradle in my detached garage and and also use it occasionally outside. It works fine for making phone calls. But the ringer doesn't work 90% of the time. Replaced the battery with no results.

Whole Uniden system is crap, extensions might ring/might not. Even bought range extender, which did not help at all. Returned whole system and went back to Panasonic. Should have heeded the other reviews, but did like the fact that it had a waterresistant handset. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!
