Review: Lots of Good Information For New Art Teachers - Purchased as a gift for a new art teacher mentee. She loves it! Seasoned/Veteran teachers may not find it as illuminating; however, if you are mentoring a new teacher itโs a great gift for them! Review: Great for 1st time teacher - I just accepted my 1st teaching job at an elementary. I have a degree in 2D fine arts but little classroom experience. I needed a book that explained how to manage an ART classroom and what expectations to set for the different grade levels. I needed simplified explanations of complicated art concepts. I needed ideas of how to encourage, communicate with, and manage children with different levels of skill and interest. This book is great because it's not an elementary art book- it's an elementary teachers guide to teaching art! Perfect.

Great resource for new art teachers
I am a specials teacher at a private school and I do not require a teaching degree. (I do have a background and associates degree in fine art and vis. com.) This book has great explanations and tips from seasoned art instructors. I am starting in the middle of the school year and this book (along with a few others) is helping me tremendously! Although, my only complaint is, I donโt know if it was a new bookโฆ It was all bent and a little beat up when i opened the package. But, since Iโll be using it a lot, I donโt care what it looks like. Just and FYI for anyone who might be expecting a brand new product.

A great resource
As advertised! No nonsense book that takes teaching art and organizes all the main themes for 2021. Great for the specials teacher that doesnโt have an early education degree โ or for the teacher with the developmental background, but not art knowledge.
