Love this machine.
We are all day coffee drinkers so we bought this for our home. We had the water line installed while house was being built. This machine is great because the coffee you make in the morning is just as fresh and hot at 4 in the afternoon. We generally make two pots a day. So easy to have the machine hooked up to a water line. The coffee flavor is definitely better. And bonus, it brews in 4 minutes. I think they should include the thermal pot. It is not included. Had it two months, so far no problems.

Not as easy to connect as they claim
We purchased this coffee brewer for our office. It took my handyman several trips to the store and calls to the manufacturer to finally figure out what was needed. In total it took two and a half hours to finally get the piece he needed. The back piece where the water connects is not standard. The picture in the operation instructions shows a flared connector. However, it was not. He had to get a special tubing, adapter and elbow in order to get it to work. We are now connected and waiting for the water to heat up. Hopefully everything will work ok.

The ultimate pour over coffee machine
Just amazing. Built like a tank, with a brilliant brain. All stainless construction, with industrial electrical switches and cord. The control panel is sturdy and replaceable. The guts of the machine are replaceable, repairable, built to endure. You need to plumb it in, and it does need a decent flow rate. It is happy with the flow from my Apec reverse osmosis unit. I ran a 3/8 line from the filter to the machine. The fitting on the back of the machine is 3/8.The machine has a heated tank that holds the brew water. You need to power up the machine about 20 minutes before you want to brew, if you don't just leave it on all day. The machine has an adjustable minimum brew temp. If you do leave it simmering, you will hear some low boiler grumbling when the machine goes through heat cycles. I like it, it gives the machine personality. The filter holder is robust, with a great handle. There is a wire basket within, that holds the paper filter. It will hold a great deal of ground coffee, easily 100 grams. I run a couple of squirts through the empty paper filter to get rid of the paper taste and pre heat the holder and carafe. It seems to get the brew temp up and consistent. The machine has interchangeable spray heads. The one that ships with it works well for me, using fresh ground coffee. The coffee appears to be evenly extracted. The programming is extensive and addresses all the possible concerns you might have to get the most out of your coffee. This is the closest you can get to a hand pour over in a machine. There is volumetric brewing with available pre infusion. There are programmable pulse programs, with individual pulse volume and interval, per pulse. So, you can use the first pulse to pre infuse and rest for a minute, then get on with more pulsing with shorter intervals.Other programmable features include: eco mode, brew count, quality timer, brew count total, cold brew lock, master reset, service call, access code, banner name, preventative maintenance, beeper, pulse brew, display brew time, fresh track, drip out, language, brew by volume, brew by time.If you buy the smart carafe it gives you the volume and age of the coffee inside the carafe, via LEDs. The downside: the lid is a sealed unit. When the battery dies in a couple years, it just turns into a dumb, but still perfectly useful lid. Finally, the wonderful hot water tap; it allows you to dispense hot water to brew tea.If you are considering a "premium" coffee machine like a Technivorm, you will go through a half dozen of them before you break in the Curtis! This is a follow up, four years since my purchase, and this beautiful beast is still brewing delicious coffee.

Coffee pot not included!?!
I can't fairly say I like it since it came sans the pot. The picture clearly depicts a pot. I know realize I need to order the pot separately. I would have bought the same product for about $50 cheaper on another site. Disappointing when you are buying a $600 coffee maker!

Works as expected
Had some issues with it getting water at first set up. After a few days it regulated itself. Works as expected. Powerful little coffee brewer.

Fantastic units; robust and easy to install
We bought 2 of these for the office. Fantastic units; robust and easy to install. Be sure to note that the carafe is a separate purchase. But great unit all around.
