Which product would be better against threatening dogs – the plain red pepper spray, or the combination pepper spray and tear gas?

Red pepper spray is recommended for aggressive dogs. I've had to use it against quite a few dogs - Most of them stop instantly. The typical response when using Sabre Red is they flinch and dart back several feet. Some may bark a couple more times before succumbing to the pain and then they'll run away. Most will paw at their face - takes their attention right off of you. The weirdest reaction was with a Rottweiler - it stopped it's aggressive advance but it just simply started licking it's own face as if it liked it. 20 years in Law Enforcement so far - we use Sabre Red. I carry it personally off duty. I would also recommend looking into Fox Labs 5.3 pepper spray and Heatwave pepper spray if you can find it. Both are hotter than a Sabre Red with Heatwave being the hottest of all 3.

Can the pepper spray be left in a car? I was planning to purchase the spray versus the gel since the car temperature ranges from 0 degrees F to 100+ degrees F.
