I can say with absolute confidence that this pepper spray works, because it proved itself in one of the most stressful moments we’ve had on a walk. My wife and I were out with our dog when a huge Great Pyrenees came barreling down the street toward us. I still don’t know whether I was the target or if it was after my pup, but it didn’t matter — within seconds, the situation turned into a full‑on attack. My dog jumped in to defend us, but he was immediately overpowered by the much larger Pyrenees. Thankfully, I always keep my Sabre spray clipped next to the leash. Instinct kicked in. I had the spray in my hand and deployed in under a second. I managed to hit the aggressor square in the face, and after a steady two‑second burst, the Pyrenees released my dog and bolted down the street, rubbing his face in the grass. My own dog caught a tiny bit of the overspray, but he recovered quickly once we got home. I even felt a little blowback in my eyes from the wind — uncomfortable, sure, but nothing compared to what could have happened if I hadn’t had this with me. **Bottom line: Sabre’s pepper spray did exactly what it’s supposed to do.** It stopped a dangerous situation instantly, gave me control when things went sideways, and likely prevented serious injury to me, my wife, and our dog, If you walk your dog, hike, run, or just want peace of mind, this is a product worth carrying. It’s small, fast to deploy, and in my experience, incredibly effective. I'm here at Amazon to buy more, but I feel like I still have half of my original amount left in the can. **This stuff really works.**

I carried this model for a decent chunk of time, as well as got 2 units for my girlfriend. The only reason I switched brands is simply due to the convenience of carry. While carrying this unit though, I found it to be very convenient and extremely easy to use. It has a good range as well as a decent capacity. I've also been sprayed with the stuff and coming in at a 1.33% Major Cap. it's definitly hot. I carried this model in an IWB mag pouch designed for small single stack mags. This method of carrying was great until I sat down since it's a little larger, but thats my only complaint. It did fine if I moved it to a position 4 style carry Would also suggest replacing every year. They're good for 4, but better safe than sorry with stuff like this, especially at this price.

I had hoped to never have to use this, but alas, last night, I did. A big guy, maybe 6'2" and of a pretty muscular build, was clearly inebriated and started following me shouting. I called the police but he would not leave me alone, and no matter how much I backed up, he was closing the gap. After several warnings to stay back, he got too close to comfort (still probably 8-10' away) and I sprayed him. I have never used this before, even for a test spray. While I would highly recommend testing it on a windless day, I never tested it. I still had absolutely no trouble -- I just aimed and squeezed, and was able to just intuitively get just about all of it in his face. I think you're supposed to do this in short bursts, but in my frantic state I just held the sprayer down for about a second of continual stream. It was still spraying when he was no longer a threat and I let go, so there may be more left. There was a group nearby, possibly affiliated with him, so knowing this lasts a bit gives me comfort. (I've just ordered a replacement; obviously I don't want to carry around a depleted canister. Highly recommend the two-pack, because I am now afraid of some type of retaliation.) He seemed disoriented for a second, as if he didn't understand what had just happened, but then promptly turned away from me, doubled over and trying to clean his face with his shirt while running off. I almost felt bad because he was clearly in a world of pain. The police arrived a moment later, but he was already gone. (In retrospect, while the person is reeling in pain and doubled over is your opportunity to run to safety. In the words of a firearms instructor, "If they didn't want to k-ll you before [you use pepper spray on them], he sure will now." I could hear the sirens closing in and stayed put, which worked out OK, but I wouldn't recommend it.) While taking my report, the cop straight-up told me, "I'm glad you pepper-sprayed him." Things could have ended a lot worse. I live in Massachusetts, and we have weird laws that prohibit Amazon from shipping to addresses within the state. The relevant bits of law are MGL c.140, §122C and §122D. Only a licensed g-n shop can sell pepper spray within the state (see §122C (b)), which is why Amazon cannot ship to us. But note that this is a restriction on sellers, not customers. Possession by those 18+ (or under 18 with an FID card) is legal, aside from some exceptions (like violent felons) outlined in §122D. All of which is to say that having this shipped out of state and retrieving it (or having someone not prohibited by §122D bring it to you) appears fully compliant with all laws.

My husband told me to order and start carrying this to protect myself and my dogs on walks. We always run into loose dogs and I am afraid of my family ever being hurt. I’ve been consistent with carrying this on our daily walks now and today was the day I had to use this against a dog who severely attacked my German shepherd and wouldn’t let go of my dog. The dog immediately let go I had to spray him super close but it worked fine. I felt bad I had to use this on a dog but it was that or my dog dead. Somehow it managed to get on me slightly and it burned like hell. Will be carrying this everyday still. 100% recommend. Would prefer a taser gun though lol

In my opinion the product comes with the wrong set of use instructions/manual. The enclosed instructions are for a flip top gel product with key chain. It seems like spray range and duration may also be different in the instructions as compared to Amazon description also. The product I received is the correct one per the Amazon description. It is a non gel spray, not gel. It has a twist top with a belt clip. The instructions say " DO Not use until you have read the product manual". I guess even if it is the wrong manual.

Glücklicherweise musste das Spray noch nicht eingesetzt werden. Ich hoffe, das bleibt auch so. Die Spray-Flasche macht auf jeden Fall einen soliden Eindruck. Die verbaute Sicherung ist zwar einfach, aber wirkungsvoll. So soll es sein. Der Gürtelklipp ist äußerst praktisch um die Flasche, bzw. das Fläschchen, in der Jacken- oder Handtasche zu verstauen. Dann muss man es im Falle eine Falles nicht erst umständlich suchen. Wenn jetzt die Wirkung noch gut, dann gibt es nicht zu beanstanden.

Es ist klein und Handlich. Es passt in jede kleine Tasche. Es ist toll, kann ich nur weiterempfehlen

I tested many pepper sprays and this the best pepper spray among them. Good stream and around 10ft range. I tested it on my hand and I can tell it would be very effective if it goes on face. The burn lasts for couple of hours

Ich kann denjenigen, die hier schlechte Bewertungen bzw Erfahrungen gemacht haben, nicht zustimmen. Das Spray ist handlich, die Sicherung wirklich sicher und das Haltbarkeitsdatum auf der Flasche stimmt mit dem auf der Verpackung überein. Ich habe das Spray immer aufrecht in der Tasche, sodass es auch gar nicht kippen kann. Somit läuft nichts aus oder wie auch immer hier gesagt wird. Ich hab es auch draußen ausprobiert, es sondern einen orangenen oder pinken Strahl ab und das echt weit. Ich habe es mir gekauft, um angreifenden Hunde abzuhalten, da mein kleiner Hund schon so oft angegriffen wurde und nun reicht es mir einfach. Ich hoffe natürlich das ich es nie einsetzen muss.
